I reall hope Sunday is not his last game with the Pats. Of course I would prefer to have Moss if it came down to a choice, but I love Stallworth's great attitude and YAC ability.

I'll be rockin' a new Stallworth jersey at the SB in honor of my 4 year old boy, whose favorite number is 18 (because that's the only # he can reach on the elevator in our apt building).

18 is your son's favorite number? Way to go raising a Peyton Manning fan.

I hope it isn't his last game also, but I would like him AND Moss both. We have been extremely lucky this year, with no WR injuries. That hasn't always been the case. Depth is good. Quality depth is better.

We all saw what happened last year when we were unable to stretch the field and what happened this year when we could. I would like two speedsters on the WR unit.

You know what? I never even thought of that. I must have blocked it out. The power of repression...

But he's a Brady fan. He recently asked for a Patriots shirt "with Tom Brady's favorite number (12) on it". He too thinks Manning is a douche.

Considering the way the contract was written, I always assumed that Stallworth would only be here for one year. It's not that I want to see him leave. It's just that there's no way the Pats will pay that much for him in year two. On top of that he and his agent may have banked on going to the SB and cashing in on a big pay day after that; don't forget that he was set up to be Tom Brady's #1 receiver before the Randy Moss deal came along.

personally, i think this might be the most interesting offseason we've had since b.b.'s been here. I'd think that stallworth is gone, and moss stays with welker as #2. unless jackson finally comes on.

I'm afraid that Jackson takes Stallworth's place. Not "afraid" really, but you know what I mean.

im with ya. i'd like to see a return on our investment in jackson, but i like stallworth better. im feelin good about signing moss next year though. he sounds like he's been drinkin extra cool aid this week

Gaffney is a FA as well this year and he'll likely draw some interest from teams. Ideally I'd love to keep everyone on this roster and just add a good CB and LB in the draft but we all know that isn't going to happen. Hell, less than half the team that was in the SB in 2004 is here now.

I really wish we could have seen more of Kelly Washington at receiver this year because we could lose both Gaffney and have to cut Stallworth. I'm not very comfortable with Jackson being our #2 at this point.

Still as it stands I think Stallworth is more of a luxury than a need compared to other guys whose contract situation demands more attention.

Felger spoke to agent Drew Rosenhaus today in Phoenix and he said that he believes the Patriots will exercise Donte's option.

I think Jackson has been a dissapointment and have given up on him I would rather see us get rid of him and keep Kelly Washington and Stallworth Gafney,Welker and Moss

"afraid" look at jennings and santio taken in the second round and their production.both have improved ever year and becoming good.If we had chad in the same stage and you want him to take over as 2nd WR i would be confident. You telling me that Chad is going to start next year and be better then both jennings and santio in 1 off season when these guys took 2 full season ,offseason and training camp to reach where they are.

I hope he stays as moss is 31 and if he stays wes at 26 and stallworth at 26 will be here till end of brady`s career. they both will be younger too .gaffney is 28 so i would like to see stallworth in the 2nd year in our system.

I love Stallworth. I really hope he stays. He's been a real team guy all year long, he could have pouted and became isolated and selfish and hurt the team, based on how this year has played out with Moss and Welker, but he took the high road and bought into our team concept. To me, that's a Patriot and I hope the Pats pick up his option.

And his YAC, yes, I love it, my favorite Stallworth catch was in Dallas when he shed that safety like he was a knat, spun and exploded to paydirt while waving his shhhhhhhh finger at the Dallas fans. The speed, burst and toughness were dynamite. #18 in Patriot blue for a long time makes me happy. I know they're thinking CJackson could step in with his rookie cap number to take Donte's place which will allow them to allocate Donte's dollars over to Moss, but whatever the Pats can do to keep Donte, even if that means trading CJackson and re-working Donte's deal, I'm all for it.

That was a great play. When you watch him after the catch he's almost like an RB. I wonder if he'll end up in the slot some day (obviously not with Welker around) where he can REALLY put those YAC skills to use.

Ask Mike Shanahan if he would take Chad Jackson. He loves the kid's potential and has already inquired about Chad.

You make a great point. Donte in the slot, you might be onto something. Donte is a guy you want in traffic. His height, burst, thickness and ability to break tackles make him a definate slot stud.

I think alot of teams would have done this before, yet his tremendous speed forced teams (Philly and NO) to keep him on the outside in space.

Glad to know you're bringing him up to know right from douche.

To add some substance, I still have high hopes for Chad Jackson, and have envisioned all along that he would step into the Stallworth role next season.
