Yea, the PATS fan base.... go get 'em! Look, I've followed the PATS since their 1st Superbowl win, and have been my favorite team all the way, but I always like Drew Brees, so when he was let go and went to the SAINTS, I soured big time on the Bolts...THEN I had to follow Brees, but since the SAINTS are out, I revereted back to the PATS.. I was hoping for a SAINTS v. PATS Superbowl, but this year was awful for the SAINTS.....and have always disliked the Chargers for the way they treated their players and coaches...so any team that faces the Bolts, I hope they win..simple. Now more than ever, and I WANT the PATS to go 19-0!

lol. You followed the Pats since their first superbowl win eh? ehem.....cough.....lol.....ehem. I like my breakdown of how to SLOW down the Pats offense better.
So far no one has been able to do it, what makes us think we can? I mean, they're the almighty Patriots. They have the rings, they have the talent, and they're just going to steam role us on their way to an undefeated season to secure their place as the greatest team of all time, right? Wrong. We're going in with emotion and I'm SURE we're going to play the best game of the season on Sunday. Now, even if we play the best game of the season it doesn't assure us a victory, we need to play outside of our abilities on Sunday and try to make history of our own.

Now, how do we stop Tom Brady?
Answer: The most important thing to stop Tom Brady is to stop the RB's and slot man from dinking and dunking us to death. Kevin Faulk has rarely, if ever, started a game for the Pats so why does he remain on this team? His release ability and hands are some of the best in the league. We need to create pressure and jam him in the backfield. Don't let their RB's release and Brady will lose his dumpoff option.

Next. Treat Welker as a LT out of the backfield. Spy him, spy him, spy him. Did I say spy him? Also, spy him. Maybe keep 2 players in for spying and deep responsibility. He sits down in a gap better than anyone in this league. He's just essential for the Patriot offense. If he gets 10 catches, then half of those are probably going to be 3rd down conversions. He's probably the reason why Tom Brady is who he is this year. Who do we have to spy him Dojo? one word: Weddle. They just match up physically so similar. Plus, he's young enough and ****y enough to not be hesitant and maybe he could create a big turnover. Mix in Florence and keep them fresh also.

Third. Cro on Moss ALL DAY!!! Jammer has done well against Moss but Jammer could lock down another receiver and possibly make Brady force something to Moss and if we could get halfway decent pressure on Brady then he might confuse a coverage and we could have a safety come over the top and create some huge turnovers.

Fourth. Don't be afraid to apply pressure. Disguise it and throw in some delayed blitzes and Brady should get rattled just enough to not do what he did to the Jaguars. If he sits back there all day then we lose. The thing that seperates us from the Jags' defense is that they have 4 on the line and it was very predictable to know where they were rushing from because they didn't blitze all game. We have 4 linebackers and we could blitze any one of those LB's and have the same amount of men in coverage the Jags had. If we could disguise the blitzes then Brady won't be able to creatively make his line changes and someone is bound to miss an assignment and it could lead to a huge sack and possibly a turnover.

Last. Don't let Moroney effect our pass defense. If we could shut Moroney down early then the Pats will ONLY go back to him IF they have the lead. They just don't trust him in a tight game. Do what we do and Moroney SHOULD be a non factor. If he is a factor though then we're in for a long night.

We just can't treat the Pats like they have anything other than a offense back there. Lets play defense and each and every one of our defenders have to play their hearts out and follow the specific role that the coach lays out in front of them. If the defense gets too cute then defenders will get confused and create holes for Moss, Welker and Stallworth to sit down in and get crutual first downs. Plus, Brady goes through his progressions so fast and he could hit the open man the split second he gets open.

the key to slowing him down is taking away the 2nd and 3rd options. How many times has Faulk caught a HUGE catch out of the backfield to get the first down on 3rd and long? Plus, Welker is rarely the first option but is second in the league in catches.

none, just a fed up Charger fan who hopes they lose this Sunday

You are nothing but a flip-flopping bandwagon fan. First Chargers, then Pats, then Saints, then Pats again. You are a worthless fan - funny how the Patsfans don't even want you on board.

Sounds like you need about three more players.

Re: PATS FANS - HEADS UP! Chargers Gameplan v. PATS

Here we go again. One last effort from Chargers before its season is over.

Charger fan here...

Charger's game plan? Dunno, I'll leave that to Norv.

Charger Fan's gameplan? Prayer. Hard and often.

Honestly, I'm going into this game hoping that we at least keep it competetive. I can handle losing a close game. A blowout would just suck.

just letting you all know what San Diegans here are thinking and saying all over the place, which needed to be mentioned here, since it wasn't brought up before, in this context, i.e., non charger website forum, but San Diego in general... no bandwagon fan here either... You follow a team, when your team trashes one of their own, they lose my respect, end of story, they did so with Brees, and so Brees was a class act, and followed the Saints since he left... Liked PATS since 2000, like the rest of the world did when they won over the RAMS...they won me over, and been a fan since then, but face it, I would love to see Brees v. Brady over Phyllis Rivers Leaf v. Brady any day...

Go Pats! :rocker:

Sounds like your a brees fan you have no loyalty to any one team, you're like the chadasexuals , jet fans are cursed with.

Yep! Loyal to Saints and Patriots... your point? :rocker:

Hey, perrino, I accept you. Welcome on board. You sound sincere in your disdain for a messed up organization down there in SD. Trashing Brees, pumping up Merri-dope-man, tolerating boy-idol LT. You got your head on straight.

Go Pats!! Eat the Bolts!!

THANK YOU!!!! Seriously! Thanks! :rocker: I've been lurking here forever! And I get a kick of Charger fans coming here and trashing the PATS or fluffing up their team over here. and since I hear the sport radio shows here locally, I HEAR all the players interviewing here daily on the early a.m. radio shows, etc...so I hear the arrogance, not humble like Belicheck in "it is a honor and privilege to play etc..."....No! You get here in San Diego with fans CHEERING this stupid quote.. "Who? New England?" Olshansky said. "Seriously, I mean, they're more worried than we are, I promise you. Believe me. They know what's up."
:bricks: p.s. Rivers is still hobbling around, he will play, but again, am sure EVERYONE knows, pressure him early, make him have to use his legs to run, and he will leave the game very very early, when he lands or gets sacked! :rocker:

their gameplan is duck and cover.
