| Christian Barmore was a ‘disruptive’ force in 2025. The Patriots think he can be even better next season. |

Since you've limited the universe to a small number of teams employing 3/4 defense, he has a good chance of winning. Include it to any interior defensive linemen and he's not even in top 10.

I don't even know if the Jets use a true 2 gap system.

Does it matter? Dwayne Robertson is d'bust on their DLine just like D'Brickashaw is d'bust on their OLine
Hmmm, launching himself into JP Losman and delivering a direct elbow shot on his knee not dirty? Hmmm, league thought so and fined him.
Don't tell me, now you'll say it never happened and wasn't cheating. Just like Spygate.
Hmmmm ....
I think that Wilfork had his best season thus far in 2007. He is staying lower, not allowing himslef to be turned and anchoring better than ever.
Part of being a great 3-4 NT are the DE's and OLBs that play on the side of you. Good 3-4 DE"s and good pass rushing OLBs help limit the types of double teams the NT faces.
Last season Jamal Williams benefited greatly from playing in Wade Phillips scheme that allowed the DE's and OLBs to attack. Even this year in Dallas, the Phillips defensive scheme made Ratliff look like an above average NT. Put Ratliff in our scheme and he's JAG.
The fact that our scheme is read and react up front and add in that we went half the year without Seymour and half the year with a less than healthy Seymour and no Colvin, and in my mind, Wilfork was hands down the best 3-4 NT in the NFL this year.
I would think Jamal Williams is still #1, but if Williams is #1, then Wilfork is like #1.5... it's that close.
Williams has been injured this year (and he's really old... lol), so he hasn't received as much attention this year. Both are a beast though and I wouldn't mind having either on my team.

Yes. The scheme difference also makes them a bit tough to compare. But I do think they are two of the best, and you can throw Hampton in there also.
Wilfork gets the nod for which one I'd rather have because he's much younger than the other two.
