Moss and court mentioned in the same sentence

I did one of those people searches, there are a dozen folks named Randy G. Moss in Florida.

I am begging all Patriots fans to stop acting so naive & stupid by commenting on this story. There is nothing to it yet I see over 200 comments! Seriously, you should all be ashamed of yourselves.

There are thousands of people across the country that will start many, many rumors this week and next if we win just to try to cause distraction to our team. You should all know this. This thread alone will surely result in this making it to the media....NICE JOB!

Even if these stories may seem true, don't comment on rumors. It WILL hurt our team if it makes it to the media.

I didn't want to post anything here but found I had to try to wake up my fellow Pats fans.

STOP NOW, PLEASE!

The incident date is not available. Even if this IS the PATS Randy Moss, this could be an allegation of dating violence going back over weeks, months, etc...

Or, this could be a nutty complainant trying to get publicity.

But in the south the police don't press charges if a women doesn't want to in domestic violence cases like they do in civilized places like the northeast.

Really? So if they show up to someones house and there are 10 witnesses that saw some guy crack a brick over his wife's head, shes bleeding all over the front lawn, but she doesn't want to press charges, they let the guy go free? Are you positive, or is this something you heard? That seems really unbelievable to me

THIS IS A STPUID TOPIC TO KEEP TALKING ABOUT....its not real...forget about it guys...geeze

The incident date was available just 15 minutes ago, it said 1/6/08. Not sure why they changed it to N/A.

Nope, not necessarily. There are tons of different scenarios -- most simply, victim didn't call the police when it happened, but just wants the guy to go away.

Obviously, we have no clue if there's ANYTHING to this in terms of actual wrongdoing. But there's plenty to it in terms of a hyperventilating media field day (given a jump start, oddly enough, by Pats fans posing as Jets fans in order to sic the NY Post on the story as quickly as possible? What was that about??? )

Exactly. I don't know off the top of my head but I saw the statistics once on domestic violence cases where charges weren't filed and the number of restraining orders for domestic violence and it's pretty staggering.

Plus the story said "refused to let her seek medical attention" which means that the police wouldn't have been called at the time of the incident.

I found a picture of the complainant:

There is no report. Just the same information as the case summary. Waste of $5 and now Randy Moss is probably gonna roll up to my house and beat me down.

Re: Don't Believe the Stories

i dont belive the Moss thing...ESPN would allready have it covered and they dont....old news..lets move on

I'm F'n Bull**** so many of are fans are acting so STUPID.

We're gonna hear these types of rumors all week and next week if we win Sunday. there are too many people who are sick of us winning and don't want to see 19-0.

I'll even ask our Mods not to allow rumors like the Moss story to be posted unless they are factual.

Shmessy, can this be done?

I agree the whole thing seems like bull****. I don't know why a court website would be a .org instead of a .gov. But in the south the police don't press charges if a women doesn't want to in domestic violence cases like they do in civilized places like the northeast.

Do you always talk out of your ass?

If? It's too late. This will be in the outlets tomorrow, either as a horrible mistake by a redneck AM radio station in Florida, or the next 'controversy' in the Patriots' road to perfection.

And somehwere, some hick in Florida who smacks his wife around is wondering why he's getting so much attention

There are at least a dozen Randy G Moss's in Florida. I just did a people search and came up with a bunch of Randy G Moss listings that weren't our Randy. Randy lives in Boca Raton or Ocala?

Let's just ignore the fact that the origin of this story was a Radio Station in Central Florida. They don't count as the media though. So this message board is responsible for that radio station posting that story. We should take full responsibility.
