I agree that first two are inferior to last year. I think the DL is the same, perhaps better with the same players being in their second year in the Vrabel's system.

The players get the same money as before and more because of the expanded Practice Squads. I don't know why the union should object to the current negotiated rules.

It shouldn't matter to the union if one or three players occupy the 53. Some player still make the money.

My issue is that I would think that union would want some caps on the compensation to individual players. That would mean that the rest of player got more money since the total to all the players is the same

For example, a $60M cap on salary or even total AAV compensation per contract would only help those who aren't super stars.
