1) complete the Practice Squad.
2) Bring back Brown
3) Bring back Britt
4) waive one of the TE's (this decision could take a while or not)
5) sign a punter, although we could just elevate on until a decision is made.

From the reports, Britt and Brown were cut only to allow for the claims of Latu and Muamau. Since the Pats had to clear space before the two players going to IR were processed. Supposedly, both will be back.

I would think they will attempt to get OB to the PS eventually, if not let him hold down that 53 rd roster spot all season if they love him.
meanwhile for now it is Spillane, Elliss and most likely Britt, and perhaps Mausau. this looks like it is still a significant area of need, as does the depth at the edge until/if Landry is fully healthy. Jacas (especially) and Q may have some nice upside, but today they are not NFL ready.

I would opine you have been incorrect all summer in your analysis of the teams depth on defense, and their decision to part with Gibbens, Jennings and Tavai without better options on the team.

Gibbens stunk, they owned his rights and still let him walk. Tavai is a stiff, he was average when he was young, now he’s old. Jennings? You don’t even understand position groups. He’s not an ILB, he’s an OLB.

You can’t predict injuries, there’s only room for two starters and maybe two backups. The season hasn’t started yet, so I can hardly be wrong.

The highest rushing totals on the entire season were with Gibbens starting. They were thin at ILB last year.

I thought the Patriots would carry 7 WR's. I still think they would have kept Boutte if Kyle Williams looked like he wasn't ready and they weren't so weak at other positions. But that doesn't matter. It happened. I was wrong.

UFA rookies are not predictable. Yes you can't say someone will be injured, but you can say that everything is new to them, the players are faster and better, and bumps in the road are expected.

He made the team, period. Swinson got cut last year. If Obi wasn’t ready he wouldn’t be there.

Obi was playing surrounded by teammates that wouldn’t be in the league. I suspect he’d look pretty fast and effective surrounded by Barmore, Milton and the rest.
