It seems to me that the RB3 always ends up mattering. (Bit of trivia here: per Gemini, no team in the modern NFL era has ever gone a full season with only two RBs getting carries.) But I agree, I don’t think Jennings was in line for the job.

I can't see sitting Stevenson and Henderson for Larison or Miller...however Gibson, Jennings and Johnson had some carries. Probably garbage time but still...they has some.

Absolutely,I want Robinson, their 2027 1st, AND 2nd rd picks, and for ATL to pick up a bunch of the salary.

I'd keep an eye out for worthy castoffs or trade options. I don't think the RB room, as currently staffed, is a team strength. Half the time Rhamondre makes an effort; half the time Henderson runs with his eyes open. Not really good enough.

If their are no injuries...RB3 will see zero snaps in the regular season...he'll only play ST. If an injury happens...still not overly concerned. I feel bad for Jennings but IMO Vrabs made him RB3 only because he was the vet RB on the team...not because of skill. I think Larison or Miller would have been RB3 regardless.

What’s up is you’re confused.

It’s always 6 points for the TD.

But in addition to the 6 points a TD gets an opportunity to score a bonus one or two points for successfully completely a challenge task. That’s what’s confusing you. Those points are not scored by the touchdowns, they are scored by the challenge tasks.

So, you’re confused, but the good news is you’re consistent about it, lol.

The RB position did KC in last season.

Gibson saw snaps because Henderson was not ready and Stevenson was fumbling
plus Gibson brought ST value
Gibson was a good runner, and a great pass catcher. able blocker.

I like Larison out of the backfield, and we saw that last night. Imo he is not someone I want carrying the ball.
Miller has some nice instincts running the ball. not sure as a pass catcher
I assume both will need time and reps to become able as blockers

is Gibson going to be available?

Of course, but my opinion of Larison and to a lesser extent Jam remains.

I know others were impressed, but the 1st half running game looked flat, and they looked slow.

Like pretty much all 32 teams the offensive line play degrades as you go from first to second to third units. There’s also scheme (vanilla) and other blockers to consider.

Run game success or failure is determined by a lot more than whether the RB alone played well. He is entirely beholden to the blockers in front of him and the defenders across from him play a large part as well.

The Colts had one of the best run defenses in the NFL last season. I thought Jam and Larison showed some good things last night and some stuff they can improve upon… the offense as a whole can make a large improvement.

The Pats had two RB’s go down with injury, one power back and one speed back… they replaced them with corresponding players. Seems your paranoia was not justified.

I don't know where you would get the term "paranoia." It was nothing close to that. And my observations were before Jennings was placed on IR.

I said Jam and larison were "slow." This has nothing to do with the offensive line, the Colts run defense (which what made them the best weren't playing anyway), or any other excuse you want to bring up.

And I said additions at RB didn’t make young players like Jam or Larison “bad,” like you insinuated.

Larison has average speed, Jam is pretty fast… the speed at which a play develops has a lot more to do than just foot speed. Factors like OLine, opposing defense and scheme definitely play into how fast a RB can burst through a hole or if he has to be patient and wait for his blockers.

They time these guys at the combine and pro days, we know how fast they are.
