First separate the backs into two groups. Big power back and small receiving back, think Blount and White.Forget the roster locks. They added three RB's (subtracted one) on top of what there was already there.
If they were happy with the young RBs even in a long preseason game, there are more than enough carries for 4 backs (even if there's an injury).
On top Jennings moved into the third spot instantly after being out. If one of the rookies was really impressing, I doubt this would have happened a couple of weeks into camp.
Haskins provides some depth for preseason at the big spot and Hasty at the small spot. Neither of these moves is preventing them from getting the young back preseason snaps, it’s preventing them from getting too much.
