I was wrong (Edit: Unexpected good and bad players in TC)

Today’s Rkarp posts have been hilarious, if a bit transparent… shades of 2016 after boston.com/forums closed down shop.

Total reinvention for you… first you tell new poster here longtime poster going back to BDC @Milton Quagmire to “say hello to my old friends on the Jets forum.”

The irony for anyone who’s never read the other Pats forum, is going back a near two decades (since Rex Ryan arrived) Rkarp was a closeted Jests fan. Nobody created more Jets content or glazed their balls more often than Karpy. Even when the rest of the world knew they’d be a dumpster fire, he said they’d surprise.

Then you got in a spat with TexPat and made a stink about his dedicated (division rival) Jets thread’s existence… and suddenly you hate the Jests.

Next is this self flagellation thread that is the polar opposite of your normal behavior.

You are unequivocally the most obstinate poster when you are wrong, it’s your entire personality on the other forum and short time anyone who knows you here…
now you’re using the Uno reverse card to suggest that’s me.

I regularly say I was wrong here, and don’t have to put on a big performative display to clean up and completely re-brand my reputation. Nice try though…

Back in 2014 Rkarp and some others wanted to fire BB in the preseason, sure he’d won, but not enough rings. The season started slowly and it grew into a roar, then “we’re on to Cincinnati” and eventually 3 rings in four years happened.

In 2016 boston.com closed down their forums and people migrated to this one, or the new one just opened. Then Rkarp went on a quest to change his take from “fire BB” to “fire BB as GM,” which would be fine to change your stance, but you didn’t… you tried to gaslight the entire board into thinking that was your position all along.

Odd, dishonest, plain stupid on an anonymous site… but hey, It’s impossible to underestimate you.
^creepy post, even by your standards

What language are you speaking?

I put "I was wrong" into Ian's official Patsfans translator, and nothing came up.

OTOH, when I put "you are wrong" in, I get a lot of answers.
Is that the one labeled “SEARCH”?

The results you describe are what I’d expect from using that tool to search forum history. My memory is more fallible than @Ian’s software, but I don’t recall seeing “I am wrong” posted here, and definitely recall seeing “you are wrong” frequently.

Or have we fallen into some weird parallel universe?

You two have a funny rivalry. When and where did this start?
I think the word “rivalry” misses the point. To me it looks more like the kind of co-dependent love affair that manifests as spousal abuse in RL. I really hope this forum serves as a release so that behavior doesn’t spill over to those around them anywhere else.

or I have changed my mind

-I thought Morton would gain an upper hand on Devito, forcing the team to keep 3 QB's. I still like Morton, but believe Devito has so far cemented his spot as the #2

-I initially thought Larison would quickly gain a leg up on the other RB's. that has not happened

-I thought Britt was a roster lock, and perhaps that is not the case.

-I originally pegged Raridon at less than 10 rcpts this season. That was too low after seeing him in person 2 times

-I thought the Pats might keep 5 OT's. I am now lowering that to 4

-I assumed Dippre-Westover-Arkin, in that order, for 3rd TE. lets now reverse order that

Change the thread title to be more specific, it could apply to most everyone here (except myself, of course).

Creepy is mentioning me any chance you get.

I share a sublet in that spacious head of yours, right next to Bill.

we made a bet about Jamie Collins contract and Wozzy welched on it
plus he likes to lie
I get a kick from his posts, appreciate his commentary on OL play and enjoy his college/draftable comments as I do not study the draft like many do.
don't ask Wozzy any cap related questions, he is quite limited.
whomever coined the phrase Belichick ball washer, had Wozz in mind.
otherwise, I like his posts

We made a bet about Jamie Collins after he was traded to Cleveland. I said he would receive a contract making him one of the higher paid ILB's in the league, you said nobody would pay him that... you even put a number to it.

"I say Collins is franchised or he signs for 3/$18-$24 with $10-$12 of it guaranteed" - Rkarp

He got twice that, and was made the highest paid ILB in the NFL at the time... then you welched on the bet.

"Collins' new deal is worth $50 million ($26 million in guarantees), a contract that eclipses the per-year salary of Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly ($12.36 million), NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported."

You just lied ^ about our bet

I'm the guy who told you Okorafor, Leverett and Jordan were terrible free agent signings, you argued they were good.

Being less knowledgeable doesn't stop you from saying foolish things.

You're constantly arguing the cap doesn't exist.... sounds legit.

I slammed Bill's decisions regularly, I just wasn't daft enough to believe someone with the most playoff victories and championships in history stumbled and bumbled his way to success.

You’re the human equivalent of a participation trophy.

Wow, you don't hear 'i'm wrong' very often if ever on this site.

It took me about a year of being married before I realized my wife's 2 favorite words were not "I'm right", but were "You're wrong".

Reminds me of the old joke: I thought I was marrying Miss Right, but I didn't realize her first name was Always.

Just here to say that I think DeVito is a good player. Not saying I want to see him, but he’s young enough, yet has experience…

He is a great backup, now in his second year in our system.
It's a good situation with him as our backup.
He is capable of winning games should he have to start in spots.
