You gotta believe it was a bad series for them. Red Sox were much crisper in their play. LA certainly did not look unbeatableSweep of the Dodgers.
I can't say I am impressed by the Dodgers play style. So lazy and uninspired.
They are effing with the baseball gods nowBut the Dodgers getting Skubal is criminal.
Or dare I say, the 1978 Yankees. When the Sox had a 14.5 game lead, they played .500 the rest of the season while the Yankees played .800 ball and over 50 games allowed them to catch the Sox. Bucky F'n Dent.21-4 in July. 26-5. This is the 1914 Braves.
Dodgers remind me of the 2001 Mariners, the team that won 116 games and coasted during the season only to get beat 4-1 by Yanks in ALCS. They thought the World Series was an afterthought. Compare that to the 2018 Sox who scrapped their way to 108 wins and continued fighting in the playoffs (18 innings game 3 Eovaldi and even a loss was seen as a win).Sweep of the Dodgers.

Can't play defense well. Defense becomes more important the further your season goes. No vote for me.So, gents, trade Arias for the Nats' shortstop, or not?
Hell no. Arias will be twice the player Abrams is very soon. So, gents, trade Arias for the Nats' shortstop, or not?
