Thank goodness for training camp! I've been watching CFL games and although they have been entertaining, my team is the Ottawa Redblacks and they are brutal (0-6). Meanwhile, the Blue Jays suck big time this year and although the World Cup soccer is impressive athletically, I just can't stand the flopping, arguing with teammates and the arbitrary time clock.

I agree with keeping him. The issue will be the cap hit next. We could continue to have 5 WR's: Brown, Doubs, Hollins, Boutte, and Williams.

All 5 may not work out. All 5 may not be part of 2027. If we keep Boutte, this could be a good problem to have. These 5 are a strong unit.

Boutte is definitely gone next year, his contract ends after this season.

People wanted more ILB depth, there you go… another UDFA.

They elevated him to the active roster rather than let another team poach him. They also kept him on the practice squad rather than cut him outright, like they do often during a season. That’s evidence.

Sorry. I don't consider that "obviously liking a player."

They were fine with him leaving if another team claimed him for most of the season.

They're willing to give him another shot and it could be for multiple reasons. He might need more work on technique before he can be fully evaluated, or they could have wanted a culture last year of we promote from within to get the end of the roster players work harder or Drake might just personally liked him around, it was late in the season, so they swapped Saunders for him.

We can hope, but we have no idea how they feel about him as a player.

The 89th and 90th players are there to fill out the 3rd string practice field. But, yes, it does show where we are thin in the 80th-90the positions on the roster.

I prefer to get the best players, not overpay for the home grown players who aren't as good. We call that a Mayo.

i prefer to keep the gus who deserve a new deal... Boutte is a good player who has earned a new deal... the meyers/jjss nightmare still lives in my memory... ymmv on that

Yes they're scratch tickets (and they are short TEs in numbers), but some make it.

These are positions where currently the team needs to look at a lot of different players, and hope one sticks.

DT and FB less so.

I simply don't understand why folks want to dump Boutte MIGHT not play for us in 2027.

Williams may be a #4 or #5 in 2027.

Hollins may or may be re-signed in 2027.

Doubs may or may not be a good #2 WR.

Much can hapen before we start the 2027 season.

Let's play the 2026 season with the best that we have!!!
