Seahawks got SB advice from source with conflict of interest

So you have no answer. I didn't think you did.
So you aren’t smart enough to understand what I wrote.

I didn’t think you were.

Again, blame your ex wife for brainwashing you into leaving NE then banging a jujitsu dude and then marrying him.
Bringing her to a meeting with Bob Kraft is bizarre. It reminds me of "Any Given Sunday" where Lauren Holly's character is telling Dennis Quad's character how to proceed with his professional career.

The jilted lover thing fans have with Tom Brady is kinda tired at this point. If the org wanted loyalty from him they would have just given him the multi years he wanted to retire here instead of playing games after years of him taking below market rate to help the team reach unprecedented heights. Expecting him to be loyal and not have his own business interests now is just silly

Then point it out?

K...
Let’s approach this from another angle:

You tell me what part of my original post you are having trouble understanding and I’ll be happy to clarify its meaning for you.

I can’t believe the angst I caused in this thread when all I said was ownership has an unwritten rule not to (publicly) take sides in games not involving them.

Pats fans in general can be really whiny and *****y for gay stories like these lol I include myself as well as ive gotten worked up over similar situations in the past with the team

We **** the bed in SB 60 it is what it is

I don't get the conflict of interest. Brady had no ties to the Pats at that point.
Agreed - I guess the "conflict" was that Brady wanted to see Kubiac, who he was recruiting to be HC, to win the SB to give the Raiders more credibility.

I guess the "conflict" is that he did have a dog in the fight - but surely didn't want to openly root against the Patriots

Every team in the SB will try to get as much intel as they can on the other team - any insights Brady had were the same insights any coach or owner could have provided since the only intel he had were as that of an observer.

Heck - I think there have been some years when teams add a former HC or coordinator as a "consultant" after they get fired from their team to help them through a playoff run - nothing wrong with that, and I think Belichick has even done that

The Krafts didn’t offer him an ownership stake. He’s doing what’s best for him and his family.

Nonsense on both counts. For the millionth time, WHY should the Krafts offer Brady -- or any other ex-player, for that matter -- an ownership stake? Aside from that, IIRC league bylaws prohibit such transactions involving players previously under contract.

As for his family, with $300 million already in the bank Brady's "best" move might be staying home more.

Tom Treason Brady.

Pretty clearly Brady, no stranger to tiffs with the league in the past, broke the rules in aiding Seattle, and the Patriots will be docked two first picks as the place he played the most.

Brady gets more annoying by the day.
Awful color analyst.

His rambling tales ruin every game. He wont stop talking and by the time he nears the end of some boring stories that began prior to 1st down, its 4th down.

I never suggested the Krafts should.

Also NFL owners can in fact offer former players an ownership stake in their team, provided enough time has passed and the individual is no longer an active employee (player, coach, or executive) of the franchise.

In 1998, then-owner Pat Bowlen offered Elway a 20% stake in the Broncos franchise. The deal consisted of:

  • 10% in exchange for $21 million in deferred salary the team owed him.
  • 10% for $15 million paid out of pocket.
Elway declined the offer, reportedly because he did not see himself as an executive or business owner of the team. This decision ultimately cost him an estimated $900 million to $930 millionwhen the team was sold to the Walton-Penner group in 2022 for $4.65 billion.

300 million isn’t what it used to be.

It was Jerod Mayo
