The second missed game for Sorsby is an interesting one. The first is Abilee Christian, but then Texas Tech travel to Oklahoma State who are an ascendent team. That'll be a big game for both. Can TTU eke out a win in their push for the playoffs and it'll be evidence of how successful the Oklahoma State rebuild might be.

One of my favorite prospects is Mestemaker. He can really sling it and is accurate. Can't wait to see what he does against better teams, even if it is Big12. They do play Oregon week 2. Won't be pretty.

It's not just Mestermaker. They've improved at a number of positions if the whole N Texas thing is real. I'm not predicting they do an Indiana, but it does remind me a little of the James Madison to Indiana pipeline.

I was listening to WEEI (for once) a few days ago and the talking heads were all maligning that Sorsby was going to be able to play without suffering any punishment. On and on it went and the 1st commercial that came at the break was for a gambling app. And when they came back from their break, some enlightened douche started giving a lesson on how and who to bet on for the World Cup games. I have no idea where these gambling issues come from.

1. Sorsby has certainly suffered some consequences, and is not done. He's has lost millions in NIL money, and likely millions more due to reduction in draft status. He will likely be suspended. His court win backfired on him in the court of public opinion, and made him the symbol of all thT is wrong with college sports.

2. The hypocrisy of the system, which is permeated by legal gambling on many levels, has not gone unnoticed.
