To clarify Wozzy. I like Barmore and I know the 2023 version of him still exist. The health issue of course isn't his fault at all. I've been consistent saying this. I've only judge him strictly from an on field performance. Barmore was given the contract from Wolf! He will have some better edge players and an all pro Fee safety and a happy gonzo with a new contract by the time the season starts.. hoping the best for him as a young man.

I’m not emotionally invested in Barmore, it’s simple pragmatism… if he’s gone you need another first round caliber DT there instead. They’re a year away from another draft and don’t have a 1st rd pick in 2028, so they better plan wisely.

Do you honestly think Wolf would openly criticize (although lightly) Barmore in the media as a tactic to get get a contract discount a year later?
That's not how you get players to want to stay, and take a discount.
If anything that would breed some contempt, or maybe spur him to be play better and drive his value up.
I don't believe those were Wolf's intentions at all.

His job is to negotiate with players and their agents.

Saying Barmore had a “lull” in the middle of the season is a nice way of saying he deserves good money… just not top of the market NT type money.

I was right about Hollins. He caught 46 passes while playing the most snaps. His production was subpar as I said it always has been and would be. It didn’t have to be zero for me to be correct

Absolutely. As myself, yourself and @therbave all been stating we are strictly surveying the performance/contract regarding Barmore. He was paid as one of the top guys at his position when he got extended coming off a great season in 2023. I actually like that Wolf, Vrabel and basically all the coaches don't mence words in motivating guys whenever they speak in the media. I believe Barmore has a great chance to really do well this season with having Byard and Second year of Woodson with an improved pass rush he and Williams should be able to create havoc inside.
