The Offense is Loaded

I have gone through this thread several time and I don't see any " subsequent post."
previous post in response to realfan2 "We can agree to disagree. I'm referring to improving pre and post snap recognition, and please take the short gain instead of the sack. I still think he is maybe the best long passer in the game but you can't live with that. Improve those areas and you have TB2 with a better long ball. We can agree on the OL in the playoffs. I still blame the coaches."

Once again I will refer you to the lengthy clip of Vrabel discussing Maye's progressions. According to his coach Maye is following the progressions MacDaniels gives him. So if you have a problem with that it's actually with MacDaniels, not Maye. . And they didn't use anyone as the Welker/Edelman slot, Diggs was in the slot and never ran those routes,

I will keep an open mind and hope you are 100% right.

Jettish foolishness comes in many guises, The essence is to act on the basis of delusions as to where your team actually is, what you team's actually needs are. In that respect, the AJB deal certainly qualifies. The Butt Fumble is, I'll admit, somewhat of a special case in which the quarterback did not know where his lineman's ass was or struggled to distinguish it from his own elbow perhaps.
I would say that form of delusion was clear when they brought Aaron Rodgers on board. They really weren't one QB1 away from being good. The fact that he got injured in Game 1 because his OL sucked is strong evidence of that. The fact he did no better in Year 2 also supports that.

Another clear data set is that they really didn't put the right coaches and players around Sam Darnold, and we see that now that he won at both MIN and SEA once he had good coaching and good players around him.

I wasn't a fan of the AJB deal, but IMO we did not have a true WR1 last season with Diggs/Boutte/Hollins et al. We had a bunch of good but not great WRs. AJB's numbers alone show you that he's in a different category, even with Hurts throwing him the ball. With Maye throwing and Josh coaching, there's a lot more upside to be had, IMO. Given the main costs are draft capital and salary cap, it isn't the greatest move when it comes to team building, but if he puts in two or more top-15 WR1-caliber seasons then IMO it's a win for us.

And they all had top line defenses and had great records. You play who you play. They beat up on weaker, and not so weak teams, made it to the playoffs, and won three games with crappy conditions against three of the top defenses in the league. Kind of getting old the posters who keep posting about how awful this team is. Kind of pitiful after a while. We get it you love Felgar and are miserable wish you could love the jets fans who post here just to *****.
Great observations Bullwinkle.

Id rather post the truth than live in a fantasy world. The top defense is useless if your offense cant score points and stay on the field allowing your defense to rest. The Broncos defense played 50% of the game in a snowstorm with lousy footing. The QBs in all 3 post season wins were trainwrecks. Herbert has never won a post season game going on 7 years. Stidham should be the manager of a Foot Locker. Stroud had a .28 QBR.

Jets fans and Felger? You been puffing on some high dollar weed.

Mentioned in the other thread this offense is going to blow up. As long as Drake doesn’t regress and we get the pre injury Will Campbell, it will be an elite unit to go with our already elite defense.

Legit Super Bowl contenders

"This team is now the ultimate power in the NFL."

I know we're supposed to be the Good Guys but I'm pissed at the league, opponents, media, fans...

Everybody.

Yes I'm salty since we lost the Super Bowl.

PFF voted us 32nd or 31st worst weapons in the NFL entering last season… can’t remember exactly.

This year they’ll be consistent and rank us first or second.

Oh boy LOL.. the Bailey Jones era was spectacular
Don't forget Cam, for moral support, Mac and Cheeeeese. See, because cheese is money. Get it? Get it? Wait let me get my pimp hat. Get it?

We should have Drake Maye for 15 years. Have a true franchise QB, surround him with a reasonably competitive roster and good ownership/coaching staff/GM, and you should have a legitimate competitor.

Mike Vrabel probably won't be here for all of Drake Maye's career, but he's not going anywhere anytime soon. The AJ Brown trade is proof of that - Vrabel was the guy driving that from the Pats' end based on their history. That he could get the FO/ownership to buy in shows that he is still the guy running the show.

"Win the division" is priority 1 on Vrabel's list, and should be the goal every season. It may not happen, but I suspect it should most of the time.

The Jets and Dolphins will always have talent, but it's been 15 years or more since either fielded a competitive team. I won't consider either a legitimate threat until they have a true franchise QB, a competent and stable HC and GM , and ownership who won't f*ck everything up.

The Bills should be competitive as long as Josh Allen is there, but their recent ownership/GM/coaching debacle suggests major fissures in the foundation.

The Pats don't have the Rams, Seahawks and 49ers in their division, or even the Packers, Lions and Bears.

That said, ypu are probably right. Things never work out according to the master plan - just ask Darth Siddious. IMO, the biggest threat to the Patriots is Jonathan Kraft assuming complete control of the team. His fingerprints are all over the 2020-2024 disaster, and if he is running things all bets are off.
Sidious only has 1 D.

Totally right about Jonathan. He is the definition of nepo baby. Hes whiny and throws tantrums. Bob has been so involved as an owner with Jerry Jones being the only one close in the old guard.

I was reading a thread about what restaurants have gone down hill the most and Panera came up alot due to MBAs swooping in and gutting services and making the quality suffer. Johnathan reeks of being an empty suit insufferable nobody.

He also has that weird hitch in his throws the media says he still has. I also saw it as well in the video at practice. He needs to work speeding up his throws when the rush is barreling down at him. No matter how fast the front 7 is coming after him, he acts as if it’s a 7 on 7 drill and takes his sweet time releasing the football. That’s what caused so many fumbles during the Houston game.
