The only reason you'd get so much as a 5th right now for Boutte is because he's 23 and he's making nothing. And I'm not sure you'd even get that much.

Depth-wise he could backup AJ. And he is the 3rd best WR on the team so making it work with Doubs in a 3 WR set is a thing.

I love me some Boutte, but if we could get a back up TE/blocker and a 2027 5th, I would be happy AF.

And we need to be careful….we may have a crowded WR room, but injuries can hit us hard. 98 days to week 1, baby!

We have 3 WR's going forward.: Brown, Doubs and Williams (even if Williams is a #4 or #5). We also have Hollins for as long as he can contribute.

I think that there is place on the future roster for inexpensive contributors. Douglas, Boutte, Chism and even Dixon come to mind.

This only works for Boutte if he is willing to accept a role as a backup. I suspect that he already said "no" to this role.

Pop or Chism could back up Doubs
odd man out? Williams. but he is the youngest
Hollins is the better ST player of all, but also the oldest.
