Patriots Rumor Is Mike’s job security in danger? (Vrabel + Russini)

A report indicating the Patriots are potentially in the market for this player, or have expressed or plant to express interest.
This situation is so cringey. One theory I have that as a former NFL player and coach who is on the road and away from home for extended periods, Vrabel and his wife might have a tacit understanding regarding his daliances as long as it is kept on the down low.

From her perspective, there's more than a few perks (financial and otherwise) being married to a former player and coach so perhaps there was an understanding. Might explain why divorce papers have been filed yet that we know of.

I mean the meaning of the term "wrong" isn't particularly clear in this context. It *is*, technically, possible, but only a little ***** would actually bring it up with nothing more than circumstantial evidence.

Knowing how much of a slobbish loser Jason Whitlock has shown himself to be, I don't really understand why anyone with integrity would hitch their wagon to his nonsense.
Again, what nonsense? So far you've only shown you are overly emotional when talking about him

It is going to end because the public will lose interest. To keep the story going, there is going to need to be new information to keep the story going. More pictures of them out together in public are going to get old very quick. We already know of the affair. More pictures of the affair isn't going to sell without a new twist. There isn't going to be a paternity test. The husband doesn't seem to be making waves. Neither is Vrabel's wife. There is no upside for Russini to go scorched earth on Vrabel.
There may not be upside for Russini to go "scorched earth" on Vrabel, but there might be an upside for her husband to do so....

Having said that, I agree that as long as nothing new comes out, this story is dying down. And yes, new pictures of them from the past 6 years isn't anything new.

Once the season starts and everyone has actual games to talk about, penalty flags thrown (or not thrown) to argue endlessly, various performances, injuries etc, etc, then no one will care about Russini.

Divorce is more complicated than you seem to think it is. You don't just up and file for divorce. It takes quite a bit of time in complicated situations, and this no doubt qualifies as a complicated situation.

Honestly, religion absolutely should not - in any manner whatsoever - be associated with this topic. Nobody's religion has anything to do with anyone else's morality.

Frankly it's beyond tedious to have to see this type of thing filtered through that lens every time anyone does anything.
It's a moral/immoral topic. So eventually the Bible or religious views will come into the discussion.

Agreed it takes time to execute a divorce, but Mrs. Vrabel could certainly have made public her intention to do so, given the public humiliation she undesevedly suffers from.

For what it's worth, my ex and I had a very amicable divorce. Cost a total of $600 for a mediator to file the paperwork and away we went.

The reason this story is ongoing is because it's great meme content and every day someone finds a new RIDICULOUS appearance/interaction between them or something that can be tied to this. The sexual questions they were answering on the Busssin with the Boys podcast, the interview before last year where she asked him about his wife, that oddly specific tweet of her asking about the best football players/coaches named Mike, etc..... someone finds new **** like that every day it feels like. Put aside your Patriots fandom or whatever moral high horse you want to sit on and this is simply INCREDIBLE social media fodder and that's just the world we live in.

What do you think she's going to do? Give a press release? We haven't seen or heard a single word from her since this whole situation started. She clearly considers it a private matter whether she decides to divorce him or not.

You got off easy my wife got a high priced Atty. so I had to counter with one that cost $7K 40 years ago....
Despite her getting a well known atty. they never went after my pension. At the time of that divorce I had 13 years into a pension system. Got a break.
I know guys well into their 70's who won't retire as if they do they have to give their wives 50% of their pension.

Also no one knows what people are in to in their marriages there are couples out that are into swinging, ect. Not saying this is the case with MV but just making a point that none of us know what transpired in the personal lives of married folks. But I definitely agree with you.

Sorry to hear that Darry. My uncle used a law firm called Cordell&Cordell they specialize in representing men in divorces he was able to keep all his pension post divorce.

I feel for you. Lots of divorces are painful.

What a scandal. Game changer!1!1!1!1

It is pictures like these that are going to kill the story faster than anything else. This is a totally innocent picture. It is a Super Bowl party most likely with a lot of NFL industry people. Nothing is going on here. It just makes the story boring. Nothing kills a story more than overkill of boring BS.

If you look at some of the comments on this tweet and other tweets that reposted this image, people are already getting sick of the story.

I agree the husband could go scorched earth, but you would think he would be doing it now while the story is still front and center. Once people move onto other things, there is no guarantee that going scorched earth would make the same impact. Plus him going scorched earth does potentially hurt his kids as much at would his wife or Vrabel.

I tend to doubt he will go scorched earth. This story is now weeks old and he has kept an invisible profile. No statements. Not sure if he is leaking any of this. Word was he wasn't the source of the Arizona photos. I doubt he was the source of the boating video and receipts.

He could be a stand up guy and realize that it isn't worth dragging his kids through the mud on this just to get back at his wife and Vrabel.

No, if someone wanted to go scorched earth and if they had some sort of damning evidence, he'd release it in September. It would do much more damage to release it during the season to create an in-season distraction than in May.

Now I agree with the part that there's no evidence that Mr. Russini has anything to go after Vrabel with or that he is so inclined... I am just brainstorming strategy based on hypotheticals.

What the ****, guys (and gals) we over 1000 posts of pure prurient interest that shouldn't have exceeded 250. I have previously been ashamed to have contributed 1 of those posts so long ago I can't remember what I said. Hopefully it was something along the lines of crying "ENOUGH already" 30 pages or so ago.

Between the "moralists" and "defenders" all you are doing is keep repeating the same points OVER and over again, long after you've asked and answered your original points. Whatever the truth is, this is essentially a PRIVATE matter concerning people in the public eye. A matter that people NOT in the public eye can speculate, moralize, and defend so their own sad lives can seem more relevant and interesting. It's sad and the fact that it has essentially been the crux of this board's interest for the past 2 months is frustrating to me. I come here to discuss FOOTBALL stuff, not TMZ gossip. Christ, the ****ing Daily Mail gets cited like it's the Gospel truth when it has been proved since that Tomlin thing never happened.

If we are going o keep going on about this ****, I should be allowed to keep informing you every time Trump lies to the American public. At any rate I'm now going to await the feeling of shame wash over me as I have now doubled my own sad contributions to this colossal waste of time

You are talking if he wants to get Vrabel, not Russini. In September, it could get lost in the noise of the season and there will be a lot going in other news because of the elections and typically things happen in politics in September. It would be beneficial for Russini for it come out in September rather than now.

I thought that was the hypothetical we were discussing. Apologies if I misinterpreted a comment.

If there is a bombshell, it will not "get lost in the season". It would be a major story and September would be the worst time (from a Patriots perspective) to drop it.
It would be beneficial for Russini for it come out in September rather than now.
I honestly don't give 2 ****s what is beneficial for Russini or what, if anything her husband does regarding their relationship.
