Patriots Rumor Is Mike’s job security in danger? (Vrabel + Russini)

A report indicating the Patriots are potentially in the market for this player, or have expressed or plant to express interest.
i do remember when kraft got pulled over after a happy ending and the miami press and police tried to claim he was part of a human trafficking ring bringing asian women into the united states for prostitution against their will . people ( fans of other teams as well as our own) were clammoring for kraft to sell the team that was preposterous then and people calling for vrabel to get fired now are just as preposterous.

No other team would even think of firing him for this. Would not happen.

Although everyone remembers our owner's indiscretions, its impact is totally zero years after the fact. Same thing here. It happened, it's a thing that happens to a lot of people, it's a thing that our coaches have done in the past multiple times.
was there more than one orchids of asia ? that i don't remember.

I think the only way Vrabel leaves is if:

A) Abuse allegations come out (they won’t)
B) More women start popping out

This alone won’t be enough
I would say the one path that would lead to Vrabel leaving or taking time away would be if
(A) he values his marriage enough more than his job to sacrifice the job to keep the marriage,
and
(B) his wife tells him that is what he should do.

Item B could happen because of more revelations, or even just because of the continuing noise level.

You are describing our current society at large, not just now, but for many decades now.

If not, tell me where to find the one that is beautiful and magnanimous, and where the story about a married sports team leader having sexual liaisons with the married lead sports reporter for one of the principal media platforms in the world would be treated as a private matter.

Sorry you find all of this to be pathetic. Perhaps you should join a monastery where you can spend your time wandering their library and their gardens in isolation, spending your time reading books about philosophy, and thinking pure thoughts without being disappointed by the pathetic losers at large in modern society.

In short, you're the prototypical old man shaking your fist at the clouds... But you do you....
My critique does indeed describe our society broadly. I decline to regard the fact that grown men wasting their time in manner of middle school girls, indulging in salacious gossip about the sex life of the popular kids speaks well of the current ethos. If, as seems to be the case, you approve of such public verbal masturbation, then you are a fool. That you may be young merely makes you a young fool.

Morality matters, not as an indulgence for fusspots or as a concern for those, some no doubt older, whose sense of decency and decorum runs more to the traditional. It matters because societies which lose sight for their moral compass, of decorum, decay and collapse. Perhaps if you have read as much history as I have, you would know this. A sophisticated, or simply adult, attitude toward this is to acknowldege that it does seem Vrabel likely did engage in behavior rightly to be condemned, would express compassion for the suffering his actions have no doubt caused for others, but not then go on to indulge in sanctimonious mockery in an embarrassing circlejerk of mutual titllation.

So grow the **** up, young *******, or have the decency buy some porn and indulge yourself in private,

Just some numbers. About 20 percent of American adults admit to having had an affair or currently being in an affair. We have to assume the real number is higher than this. However, using this percentage one comes out with 30 to 40 million adult Americans having cheated or currently being a cheater. Do the moral posers want all of these 30 to 40 million Americans to be fired from their jobs? Going to be tough on the economy and may be difficult to fill all the vacancies.
Do AIs ever have affairs?

There is concern about the coming workforce dislocations (polite term for mass firings and widespread unemployment) caused by AI adoption. At least that might solve this issue.

I'm more about acceptance and understanding than judgement. I'm not here to approve or dis-approve. I'm here to observe and to reflect.

I'm also about not accepting other people's judgments about me.

One great joy of adulthood is you can decide for yourself what things are and what things mean.

I don't give a rats ass if you think I'm an uninformed ******* or if you think I should change my behavior.

If I'm contributing to the downfall of mankind, oh well, that's how things go, but no one can say for sure, despite how sure you think you are.

I think a lot of people will tell you that notions of piety and "traditional values" have done more harm than good to their lives.

Very much true. What I believe is that the Patriots have to know more photos ect are to come.. so the Patriots have this under control as far as crisis management.. if he does decide to "step away'' I believe it's Tomlin that gets the call.. although Josh is very intriguing as well..
I think we're also forgetting that Tomlin accused the Pats of cheating in the past and AB got audio of Tomlin saying "F the Pats". I don't think Bob wants him here nor would Tomlin want the job.

Great points Rain.. totally forgot about that.. then the accusations from the week 1 2015 matchup about hearing our broadcast and then the claims of the hotel sabotage in the 2016 AFCCG weekend.. feeling like Josh would be the guy a believe for drakes sake and the organization that would be the way to go.. the food things are the staff is already set and the coaches are in place. But dam... I HOPE nothing happens where MV has to step down love the guy!

Got it... so if the latest news aligns with my pre-conceived notions and feelings on the subject, it's accurate, but if it doesn't align, it's probably BS and they're just lying - and anyone who buys it is just a gullible idiot. But everyone definitely SHOULD believe these other parts that I believe, because that stuff is 100% accurate, since it aligns with what I think.

Am I doing it right? Let me know if I've made any mistakes.

The Tomlin rumor originated in the Daily Mail. I don't believe there is an ounce of truth to it one bit.

To @TheRainMaker point it will likely be Josh.. boy I really hope Vrabel doesn't step down the guy's what this organization needs..

Vrabel has only two "audiences" that matter: his family and the 53 guys in the Pats' locker room. Everything else, including what Florio, Curran or any of us in this forum say or think, is just background noise.

So, I think there are only two ways that Vrabel is not coaching the Patriots next season:

  1. He makes a completely personal decision that his relationship with his family requires that he step out of the spotlight and focus on his home life.
  2. He concludes that he has lost the locker-room and can no longer effectively coach the team.
I think it's highly unlikely that he'll lose the locker-room over this, so only he will decide whether he stays or goes.

Agreed!!! And he has the full support of the organization as well!

Do you still leave cookies and milk out for Santa?

Well, let's not forget that we have VIDEO OF HIM CHEATING.

Gossip rags have been a thing my whole life, although I can't recall ever spending a dime on one.

It was the National Enquirer who famously surfaced the Hart/Rice affair back in 1987.

It's always been up to people to decide what "content" they will consume.

The same news stand that had the National Enquirer also had NYT, WaPo, our own Globe, etc.

I googled my way to the top 10 tabloid stories of the 1950s-1980s:

1. JFK–Marilyn Monroe rumors (1960s)
2. Elizabeth Taylor love life coverage (1950s–1970s)
3. The Profumo Affair (1963)
4. Frank Sinatra mob association rumors (1950s–1980s)
5. Princess Margaret scandals (1950s–1970s)
6. Elvis Presley private life obsession (1950s–1970s)
7. Ted Kennedy Chappaquiddick scandal (1969)
8. “Crying Game” style celebrity scandals of the paparazzi era (1970s–1980s)
9. Gary Hart “Monkey Business” affair (1987)
10. Early Princess Diana press obsession (late 1980s)

And for each of these story lines, there were countless many others.

Our current scandal is bread-and-butter, garden variety stuff.

In short, this is nothing new, despite what the tut-tut people and the pearl clutchers say.
Just want to remind everyone that this is about the Patriots. As far as I'm concerned, I'd be shocked if none of our guys is fooling around. Just like any other team.

Don't think so, but there was retaining the expedited atrocity perpetrated less than a year before he bought the team in an NFL Properties money grab/Preparation for becoming the St. Louis Stallions/Corroborate for everyone the false laughingstock narrative/Make the Patriots look as bad as possible screw job.

That did make, and has continued to make for over thirty years now, the team an even bigger target for unwarranted denigration than they already were.
