Patriots Rumor Is Mike’s job security in any danger now? (Vrabel Allegedly Caught Kissing Russini in New Photos 6-Years Ago)

A report indicating the Patriots are potentially in the market for this player, or have expressed or plant to express interest.
I don't know except that some in the media have been afraid to touch this story

When a British scandal rag that makes a living making up stories about celebrity gossip carries ths story, maybe some in the media are right not to touch this story.

Sorry, it is BS. If Kraft was talking to Tomlin about replacing Vrabel, it would be front page news for every media organization covering the Patriots and NFL. Hell, Florio, who runs a site that peddles in NFL rumors, isn’t touching this story.

This isn't going to court. There is no reasonable expectation of privacy when you are out in public and a hotel policy does not overrule the law. The hotel can punish the offenders by, for example, not allowing them to ever come back but a hotel policy won't hold the day in court.

except their rooftop is private, accessible only by their room - remember that whole discussion? i think it went 3-4 pages at least? clearly some of the photos were from their private rooftop terrace.

public areas at a private resort do not carry an expectation of privacy, although considering the policy at this resort, a lawyer could make a strong case in civil court - however, if their rooftop was accessible only from their room, and their room is a protected area, the case could easily be made that is a de facto extension of their bedroom, and a reasonable person would expect it to be a private area - again, not sure it would be a super-strong criminal case, but it 100% would be strong enough for a civil case, if said parties wanted to go scorched earth

He had an affair, he didn’t break any NFL rules. By the time the season gets here, the tabloids will be on other stories.
Agreed... as I posted the NFL is no longer looking into the matter as he violated no league or team rules or policies.. it a personal matter getting exploited by the media..

If it were true, how would they know?

Those web sites and their tweets are for people without any critical thinking skills.

Don't pee on their parade.

The kids in the back row of the class generate clicks too.

Probably more than most other demographics.

Right, but it's made a big enough splash that someone will always be digging for more dirt.

IMO we should all be prepared for the possibility that it might break out all over again at some point in the future.

We should also be prepared for all kinds of jokes, snarky posters, etc from other fan bases.

For instance, be prepared for lots of flying bildos in Buffalo.

IMO it'll never really go away, just like how people still understand what you mean when they hear a deflated football joke.

again, not sure it would be a super-strong criminal case, but it 100% would be strong enough for a civil case, if said parties wanted to go scorched earth

I think that's about right.

If it ever became a criminal case, someone like ACLU might want to take it up.

Can the government criminalize photography to this extent?

My guess is that probably would not stand up, so I bet the government wouldn't file such a case.

IMO there are lots of anti-Constitutional laws and practices in the US right now because the power structure is smart enough to avoid creating a test case that would get them struck down.

Bottom line: If I were that couple, I would not expect the resort to accept their bookings in the future.

"Sorry, all rooms are full!"...

I understand you have to walk through the private bungalow to get to the rooftop, but once you’re out on that roof in full view of all the world to see, good luck convincing a court that you have a right not to be photographed.

Not really. As I have stated several times, a hotel policy does not supersede the law.

Being out in full view for all the world to see is not an extension of their bedroom.

What if Mike's great coaching and playing performances have been due to the adulterous support he has received? If we take that release away from him, is that like cutting Samson's hair? I say we should only consider firing him if he proves to be a much worse coach due to Delilah Russini cutting him off, so to speak.

As I have seen stated before by someone if you go to war with the press they will **** you over. He did exactly that and while he seemingly is getting past it a bit it isn't over.
I'll mention this as the difference of today and then.. Bill Belichick had an affair with giants employee when he coached there.. it went under the radar because there was no social media then in the 80s.. now with everything type of social media you can think of stories never die..now the media is so hungry for a scoop it's now messages being brought up about Sean Payton!

See now this is the kind of Wednesday morning had a few shots kind of thinking I can get behind.

in a civil case? the hotel policy & the privacy of access to the rooftop 100% would lead to an expectation of privacy in civil court.....not saying the parties involved would want to go that route, that would lead to a lot of discovery......but as part of said discovery, one could extrapolate some situations that could lead to the actual Arizona law being applied, ie the couple took more explicit photos that were not released - again, it is likely neither vraebel or rossinni want to go that route, but 100% that route is open

There seems to be some group of freedom fighters on Twitter doing their best to keep this alive claiming that this is an orchestrated effort by the media to bury the story. Unless there is anything more to this then I assume this story will fade away in the next week or so.

No, not over yet and he clearly didn’t handle it well to start. But there will be a thousand new tabloid stories between now and the start of the season. Unless there’s more to this story, I think it will die within the next month or so.

Sure, but there is a difference, deflategate and spygate were about our team - it stung different. I’ve already had people I know making Vrabel jokes and they don’t sting at all.

Unless there’s more pictures or more revealed, this story will die down.

Vrabel didn't violate any team or NFL policy. The only reason why he wouldn't be our HC is if Kraft fires him (which would a crazy hypocritical on his end) or if his wife forces him to resign.

I think he's gonna be our HC for the next decade or more.

Some people saying 'how can his players respect him' have never been on a football team. Most of these guys probably think this **** is hilarious or don't care.

From a practical standpoint, better the side piece cutting him off than the Mrs cutting off a piece of him

Sigmund Freud would be having a field day with this, along with the fact that Vrabel already offered to cut off his willy in exchange for a Super Bowl win.

Sometimes a cigar isn't a cigar.

Freud (who loved a good cigar) has been debunked while Samson & Delilah is a beloved Sunday School Bible story for the kiddies.

Perhaps Vrabel was thing about a victory cigar ... A woman is only a woman, but a good cigar is a smoke!
