OMG! Granted they were off to an awful start, but didn't they just give him an extension?

Oh have the mighty have fallen. He was a good coach. I'm shocked at how bad the team has played.

Cora, the hitting coach, the assistant hitting coach, the third base coach fired and Jason Veritek was reassigned, the Woo Sox manager will take over for Cora.

They looked like a little league team against the Yankees. Cora should have been banned from baseball for life.

Glad to see him go, too bad Henry can’t be fired. Too bad Varitek got thrown out with the bathwater.

They should fire whoever out this team together.

I’m hoping Veritek is going to Worcester to be the manager, he was reassigned and the Woo Sox manager is taking over for Cora.

Keep filling the seats, keep buying merchandise and nesn. Henry figured out he doesn’t have to spend to fill his pockets with that franchise.

Too bad we couldn’t fire him.
Exactly, just like Jeremy Jacobs

Ok. Next fire Breslow and Jw Henry and we're really talking!

Cora did not perform well this season but the real problem is how the roster was put together.

Ultimately this is a poorly constructed Red Sox team and until that gets fixed, this feels more like a blame the manager scapegoat move.

As a former RS diehard, ask my RS fans what they think about this team... the consensus seems to be no power.
From this casual follower, it certainly seems that way... but Cora did not put this team together.
Reminds me of Parcells when he commented about having to put out a product without doing the shopping...

I’d say WITAF is this but this is so on brand right now. Not hard to figure out what this is.

Yet breslow and kennedy remain.

I’m out on the Sox for the foreseeable future
I've been out on the Sox for a few years now and will be out until the team is sold. So, yeah, I'm out and it's sad to me since I've been a Sox fan for >45 years. I haven't worn my Sox shirts in about 3 years. People ask me "what, you're not happy with the 4 championships". My response is "things changed, it's not the same, they don't care like before". Well, they changed a lot, starting around 2020 and headed south from there to the point where I had enough.

The shirt Barstool is selling looks great, straight from this clip where red-nosed Henry says' "ooh, sell the team, ooh".
And take your kunt wife with you.

Breslow isn’t the problem. Kennedy isn’t the problem. The problem is the principal owner stopped caring about winning and turned into Jeremy Jacobs. Not surprising, he’s a hedge fund guy after all and when he owned the Marlins he ran them the same way. The shock was the 15 year period where he actually cared.

Breslow is part of the problem. Yes, he’s been handicapped by Henry financially but his leadership and communication skills with the coaches and players has been atrocious.

Henry and FSG deserve the lion’s share of the blame for the **** show. With the potential for a lockout in 2027, ownership has decided to become ultra conservative with spending, operating like a small market team in a major baseball market. As long as people keep filling the stands, buying merch and taking Fenway tours, FSG feels zero pressure to change.

My hope is the team loses 100 games, ownership sees a negative impact financially, and people continue the chants to sell the team. Nothing will change until fans have had enough and force a change.
