DRAFT DAY DISCUSSION 2026 NFL Draft Day 3

This seems like a major under the radar riser. Matt Miller mentioning a few teams were monitoring him due to his pro day performance.

I don’t love it. But why not
They need a guy to eventually replace Davis.
Dude's a sticky coverage guy with good makeup speed. Just really could use a few milkshakes and a year in the weight room. Then we'll see.

Speaking of corners, they need another nickel corner behind Jones. Maybe Dial can do it?

He has the unique traits you look for in a starting outside CB. Has the speed (4.4 forty), explosion, agility is great… and it’s especially great because he stands 6’2” and that kind of agility on a taller guy is rare.

11 bench reps, kind of skinny at 190… get him to 200 pounds and you have a player.

They needed a third big CB desperately.

Dude its round 5 not round 2. Get a grip. Roughly 8.9% ever get a long term contract. Its ok. You will be just fine.
Good players can come from rd 5.
There were better players available.

Not exactly in love with what’s left on the board. So I won’t lose much sleep on them making an off the wall pick like this

Mike Vrabel says he is at Counseling meeting today so you can’t blame him for this pick!
All picks today will be used as ammo against Wolf. It doesn't matter that picks this late are all dart throws

You're picking guys with traits on Day 3.

4.37 40 at his pro day?

He wasn't on my radar at all but picking a quality CB was one of my priorities for this draft. I can't find any draft board that was on to this guy. The ultimate Mr. Incognito

Good question. I’ve noticed that Pro Day numbers are a bit better than Combine numbers. Not sure why.
Biased Track or Home field??

Yeah that is what I was thinking about too. Davis' contract is easy to dump next year if they want (only one year left, not guaranteed) but I am guessing they will want to keep him through the end of his deal. Assuming they pay Gonzo, they may want to have a guy like Prunty as CB2 for cheap to offset some of that cost, if he can do it. It'll be 2028 by the time Davis is gone so Prunty will have had two seasons to bulk up and train, and also still on a rookie deal.

I’m very curious why he was on nobody’s boards. PFF college had very high grades on him, great height to speed ratio.

I get that’s not all the context needed, but you’d think it would at least get him on a few radars as an undrafted guy. Wolf clearly liked the analytics here

Randall ro the Ravens.

Obviously they can, but why act like its the end of the world or a poor pick because you have never heard of him. Its round 5.
I never said it was the end of the world.
I simply said the pick left much to be desired.
