Patriots Rumor Is Mike’s job security in any danger now? (Vrabel Allegedly Caught Kissing Russini in New Photos 6-Years Ago)

A report indicating the Patriots are potentially in the market for this player, or have expressed or plant to express interest.
Am listening to the Christopher Price / Chris Hogan podcast where they start off by talking about this topic.

My personal take away from it is that Vrabel should say he made a mistake (without getting into the details), point out that we all make mistakes, point out that it's an off-the-field situation that he is working through during the off season, say he's learned from it and he's going to be making those better decisions going forwards, still expects accountability on the field, and looks forward to the next off-season activities.

Basically admit he made a mistake but frame it as an off-the-field situation not a football one, and "we're on to Cincinnati".
Isn't that exactly what he's already done?

We don't know what he's said to the players. AFAIK all he's said to us is that everyone needs to make good decisions, including himself, he fell short of standards, caused a distraction, yada yada. Much better to come right out and say "I made a mistake" instead of using all those weasel words. I hope he was more direct with the team than he's been with us.

Oh, what he said to the players. I get it now.

Wow. Other than pictures of them during coitus, what else is there to confirm an affair for you?

Yeah, it’s such a rare name there’s obviously some message. /s

Does anyone know if Dianna has any family history of male relatives named Michael?

EDIT TO ADD: I answered my own question. From GMU athletics web via the wayback machine:

It’s not uncommon to name children after relatives, or even friends. Heck I’m named after a WW2 service buddy of my dad. Really wish I’d gotten stories of their days together before they both died. But I’m really sure my namesake never met my mom. Funny thing is that my first name is the same as our church organist, so it did confuse people even though there was no connection.

I'd like to think I'm named after Robert the Bruce, but I'm afraid the truth is it's

The real story is why the media is so obsessed with who Mike Vrabel was ****ing 6 years ago?

There's nothing more low-IQ than discussion about what part a person has between their legs, and whom they choose to use those parts with, IMO.
Don't know if this helps, but in Mike's defense, she does look kinda cute.

Just listened to Bedard's podcast that dropped yesterday. Apparently Mike has spoken to the players twice, according to him. Yet there's no good way to do that. Either you say the same thing twice which sounds dumb, or you contradict yourself which is worse, and either way the players say WTF is happening here.

Bedard spoke about an article he wrote, which is up for free on BSJ right now.

Here's a bit.

And then came Vrabel's midnight declaration. Up until then, the episode's impact on the football team was minimal, with some trust likely needing to be earned back by Vrabel. By stepping away from the draft on a day when the Patriots are scheduled to use eight of their 11 draft picks, the impact on the team could not be ignored or minimized.

His decision to step away made no sense. It not only made it a real football story, but it has also embroiled the franchise in a full-blown media story — football, news, and gossip — that has not been seen around in these parts since the Aaron Hernandez fallout. The Vrabels, the Patriots, Russini and others associated with this story will now be hounded like the sports version of Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky.

Yeah, he went there....

And on the podcast he directly referred to Vrabel as a liar, and on top of those examples in his column he compared Vrabel to Tiger Woods.

Pretty hot stuff.

One thing he said that was more rational: he suggested Diana would be looking for another gig, and one way she can get her foot in the door is to use the fact that she can tell her side of the story any time she wants. It's a pretty damn good bargaining chip: sign me to a decent contract and my first story will be me telling my side of the story. And such a story can drop any time they want, like right before the first game of the season, or maybe wait till the Pats are struggling a bit and use it to kick Mike while he's down.

So, yeah, about that other shoe...
