2026 Draft: WR

On the whole Efton Chism is slow thing, this is a 5 time pro bowler at WR.

We all love athletes, but it's important to remember the delta between the elite guys and the supposedly less-gifted players is fractions of a second. Compared to the rest of the population, they're still incredibly gifted. The right attitude and knowing where to be on the field is more significant. That said, we tend to filter out the lower tiers because if they succeed they're outliers. No one thinks they can't succeed, they just might not be willing to bet a career on beating the odds and finding a diamond in the rough.

How about Sarratt and Fields they're not going to beat Brady in a foot race but they can get open: also Size is their Advantage.

Still prefer Ted Hurst over him also wouldn't mind E Sarratt or M Fields. Stribling's Draft hype is getting ridiculous.
You fawn over every receiver not on the Patriots or named Brazzell.

Id only move Boutte if you can get a 4, whether it's this year or next. If Dontayvion Wicks can get a 5 + 6, I dont think thats unreasonable for Boutte. Maybe Boutte and a 6 for an earlier 4.

I dont think the team is going to be a big spender next year in FA. If the plan is to not have Onwenu or Boutte around in '27, we may factor in the compensation pick game again. Those 2 should get pretty good contracts on the open market.

Keep the team as competitive and deep as possible in '26. And still get some value in the future. We have enough 5-7th rounders this year.

I haven't given up on Stribling. He's an ideal Boutte replacement and could replace Hollins too. He also suits are more vertical offense like ours.

@ 95??

If they are moving Boutte is because they are getting AJ Brown. I dont see them picking a WR early. Could be massively wrong tho.

Even with AJ, chances are Pop and Hollins are not here next year.
AJ, Doubs and Williams for sures in 2027.
We should definitely be drafting at least 1 WR.
Agreed it shouldn’t be an early pick, but that all depends how the board falls, and what value propositions present themselves.

Fair. They're likely to be in multi TE/FB formations this year that limits how many WRs are on the field. Still, it depends on whether they see Doubs playing in the slot on 3 receiver sets or out wide.

Thats another. We still dont know what type of TE they will want at the draft. And still have Henry.
I would think a slot guy day 3 is very likely to replace Pop.

Boutte should get more. He's a year younger and has performed despite the coaching issues.

I am getting so much Stribling stuff on my timeline since the draft ended. It's making me very sad.

Harbor might improve enough to be worth a shot in the top 100 next year. But I understand it will take time to get over Stribling. You had me hyped for him, too!

I think I might have just found my Stribling for '27 or '28. See the 2027 watch list thread.
