OT: Jay Glazer teases big trade tonight that won't happen until a team is on the clock

Wonder what it is. Normally this wouldn't be pre-determined as it would be conditional on if the player is available at that pick. So it leads you to believe it might be for the #1 overall, but there'd be no reason to wait to do that. Interesting.

Yeah, it’s probably a conditional trade depending on who’s on the board when. Glazer often gets scoops. So it probably indicates he’s on to something.

A trade ...Gee, no ****. And to think he gets paid for these insights

Glazer lives for this. I still remember when he actively teased along an NFL player having covid as a major breaking story.

A regular Carnac this guy...

Maybe it is the Patriots.

I think they should move down. The players available at 31 are not substantially different than who will be there in the mid/late 30s. The only difference is the cost-controlled 5th year option. They can sacrifice that in exchange for an extra 4th rounder. They need a couple starters but they especially need those spot starters/depth players that they will find in rounds 3 through 5.

Trading the 31 pick to move down is not juicy

Dallas is moving up. Worried they’re going to miss out on top defensive prospects.
If I’m Arizona and Dallas comes with a strong offer I’m taking the deal. 3 is a reach for those OTs. They can get one at 12.

Rumor has it that Woody Johnson is open to trading one of their draft picks for a handful of magic beans.
If I remember correctly Draft picks aren’t rated in Madden so it’s highly possible he trades it for someone with an actual grade attached to his Madden character.

For Glazer to say something like this and act like it's some big ground breaking news it has to be in the top 5 picks or else it's a bunch of baloney that anyone can say, someone outside the top 10 dropping down a few spots isn't big news to me it's expected in nearly every draft.

Like a playoff team from last season or even someone like the Chiefs jumping up to the 3rd pick and giving up future 1st+ is worthy of this kind of brag but otherwise save this BS Glazer.

That's a trade that neither team will make until they're on the clock - as it should be

It will depend on whether there's a run on Tackles

No sense in taking a 3rd round talent at #31 as there's a dropoff after the top Ts

The good news is that we still should have a 2027 first round pick as it's seeming less likely that the Eagles have enough leverage to get our 1st rounder next year.

If we were losing that then I'd say trade up and get 1st round talent this year, even though we'd be giving up a 2nd or combo of a 3rd and 4th even just to move up 10 spots or so - knowing that otherswise we'd effectively be giving up 1st round picks this year and next year with a trade back and trade for Brown.

By the same token we'd pick up just a mid to late 3rd for trading back 10 spots into the 2nd. That's not a lot to gain by passing on a 1st round talent T - and would only be in play if one of the OTs we want are already gone.
