You're spot on. Two things can be true; Tampa was getting away with murder and the B's got called for responding. Bad officiating led to undisciplined reaction, ugly all the way around. Swayman got assaulted in his crease, no call. B's clear offender out, whistle. Kastelic takes a slash, gets called for responding with a crosscheck. Kuraly was on the ice getting hacked with no call, closes hand on puck and it's off to the sin bin. That said, if you're a Bruin there you have to read the sheet and use your head. Shameful all the way around.
All so very true...
At 5-1, feels like the refs inserted themselves in a one-sided manner to do what was necessary to make this marquis game more "compelling".
That said, at 5-2 and seemingly still in total control of the game, Swayman decides to go WWE by first launching himself on top of Hagel
And then, playing it up for the massive stadium crowd, going full Chief Jay Strongbow with a mid-ice war dance.
You're up 5-2 and you initiate/provoke like this on the road?
He made it SHOWTIME.

Again, refs were without a doubt calling a one-sided game for the last 35 minutes.....but Boston's penalties were penalties.
Bruins Season Penalty Stats:
Zadorov and Kastelic are #1 & 2 in PIM
The B's have 7 players in the top 71 in a 32-team league. (Using averages, should be 2.2 players in top 71. B's have 7).
B's are #1 in team PIM.....752 minutes
League median PIM is 455 minutes
And...B's are 27th in PK (penalty kills)
Not surprising, this "style" works at home, less so on the road.
Of the 8 currently playoff seeded East teams, B's have most home wins (21)...but least road wins (11)

Fun team to watch
This more physical style should pay playoff dividends
But not if they live in the penalty box and can't tighten up their PK
