Last I heard, their adultery is not any of our business.
there are two threads totalling 54 pages of posts that provide evidence to the contrary.

Composing that many posts is a lot of busy ness.

Nah. Mayo was really embarrassing for the Patriots franchise and arguably one of the worst HC's in the last 25 years or even of all time. Bob knew it was a massive mistake, yet he still couldn't make up his mind until later in the season. Regardless of how the 2025 season turned out with Vrabel, cutting ties with Mayo was the right move.

I also think Bob told Mayo week 18 was his last game which was another massive mistake. Mayo would've dropped that game with ease had he thought his job was safe.
Mayo said that he would be better in 2025.

An odd thing to say if you did not have assurances from the person who hired you. Josh Allen sat out game 18 because Buffalo wanted to lose to get the seeding matchup they prefered.

I was bored so I opened this thread, and also asked Goggle AI what Vrabel is accused of doing.

Please correct if I am wrong. I didn't spend much time.

It seems that, at worst, Vrabel was having a consensual affair with a married women (Vrabel is also married).
Consensual is not totally true if youre traditionally married.

Perhaps well hear that Vrabels wife and Russinis husband signed off on this fling.

Shall we force her to wear a scarlet "A" and for both to apologize to their spouses on an ESPN special?

Then dont make it a public spectacle so it appears on TMZ.

Seems to be a double standard with this story. Bill Belichick was a notorious adulterer going back to before his time with the Patriots and there was no hand wringing with him like there is with Vrabel. Weird.

54 pages, and still zero NFL infractions or fireable offenses.

It’s a distraction, hypocritical of Vrabel to do what he insists his players don’t do. He still won’t get fired, and shouldn’t.

Bring on the draft….

He won't get fired even if the Pats didn't win the AFC last season... Kraft would never have the audacity to do that after what he was caught doing.

I think Mike would be OK with players having trysts in the off-season at a resort designed to protect privacy.

I think he'd think of that as good preparation, but given the outcome, something they need to review on Monday.

On the other hand, having three baby-mamas pregnant at the same time suggests a lack of preparation.

In an ideal word, yes, but this is not an ideal world.

This is our business in the same way a bare-chested Bill Belichick leaving the apartment of a 22 year old girl early in the morning is our business.

It doesn't affect us personally, but it's not good. Personal issues can affect your professional life. But it's more concerning if they are also lying about it as well.

It's very strange to me how the rise of social media has made many people act so much more "puritan" online. I don't get it. If this was 15-20 years ago I don't think people would really care at all, it would barely be news, especially if it's a successful coach like Vrabel who was just in the Super Bowl.

Agree, but it's 100% selective outrage. People hate the Patriots and will grasp at any chance to publicly flog the team/its coaches/players/etc. We've seen this story before.

If you live long enough you see how things go in cycles.

In the 1950s we had the "Leave it to Beaver" portrayal of social norms. It's the same kind of lifestyle the current tradwife movement glorifies. By the 1960s we saw that a lot of woman realized that lifestyle wasn't what they wanted.

How this works out is something I witnessed close up. My dad wanted a tradwife. My mom tried her best to meet those expectations, but always chafed knowing there was a lot more to her than just being a cook, cleaner and babysitter. Sadly my dad didn't figure that out till after they divorced and she "found her groove". At that point he found himself without a tradwife and without a groovy partner, and with a bottle of vodka. Actually, many bottles of vodka.

And this is how I see things going. One wave is conservative, and in reaction we get a wave of liberalism, and in reaction to that we get another wave of conservatism, and so on and so on and so on.

I think in a few years (if not already) people will look at the current conservative, tradwife era as laughable and archaic.

There's definitely an element of that to be sure. I am guessing if it was, say, Zac Taylor instead of Mike Vrabel, it wouldn't go anywhere.

To me it's more concerning that so many people are concluding that they are lying about it, instead of giving them the benefit of the presumption of innocence.

We heard conflicting reports all year from the media. But Kraft admitted he was flip flopping all year whether to keep Mayo or not. I do remember Mayo saying something like he'll be better in 2025, I just don't remember when.

Mayo was fired very quickly after the game, so I do think he knew prior. If he believed he was returning in 2025, he wouldn't have been so aggressive on both offense and defense trying to win the game. He would've had total control of the draft and ability to gain a lot of extra picks. Either that or he really is an idiot. The wife immediately complaining and threatening a lawsuit made it look worse for him.

fair enough

Folks can choose to be outraged at possible adultery. Perhaps, we can insist on interviews with their spouses, perhaps a TV special on how the adultery of bosses is a bad example for their employees. Public figures are indeed subject to more public attention that the rest of us.

As I said before, perhaps the reporter should be forced to wear a blouse with a big "A" on it for all to see. Perhaps, we should do this as we consider the implementation of biblical standards (the punishment was stoning).
==================
Let's be real. Possible infidelity by coaches and reporters has zero effect on the football teams.

I find the public response truly laughable.

Not quite the 'Trade Brady' thread ....

She ain’t going to wear a scarlet “A” as part of her daily outfit.

But make no mistake about it: it’s there.
