DRAFT Draft Rumours 2026

Maybe. Others have him 3rd round.

25-75 very packed, hard to predict.
I think that was before the combine (3rd round). Besides the great measurables, add in his excellent production, he won the John Mackey Award. I wouldn’t be shocked if he went 1st round. Tight End is such a great weapon nowadays, would not be shocked to see Sadiq & Stowers go first round.

As I said, 25-75 packed. Stowers - along with 30 other guys - could go anywhere in that range, and it wouldn't be a shock.

100%.
A guy like DDS could sneak into the end of the first rd if a team loved him....or he could be available late 3rd.
As you mentioned, there are so many guys in this same scenario, Stowers included.

This is also why trading back makes so much sense if our targets at 31 are gone.

I suspect that trading down makes sense for a lot of teams after 25. The problem will be to find teams that want to move up, except perhaps for the QB at the bottom of the first.

Just takes one team.
Because the rankings are so varied, there could easily be a guy at 31 that some team has ranked higher. They don't know if another team ahead of them has similar interest in that player.
Also, as you get later towards the end of the 1st there's bound to guys that slide that teams never would have expected to be there.
I don't think finding a trade partner will be a problem if we are inclined to trade back.

Stowers doesn't block, but he is a big time mismatch.

Not at 63, but at 95 he might be a reasonable option.

I prefer an all around TE, but those guys are not easy to find, usually you are sacrificing blocking or receiving.
I'm sure no one would mind picking Stowers if he turned into Travis Kelce.
I will take Gronk over Kelce 8 days a week, but I would also take prime-time Kelce on my team every day.

I have Sam Roush > Stowers > Oscar Delp > Eli Raridon > Will Kacmarek as my top 5 TEs for the Pats.

I think everyone is soured on the idea of a Move TE based on how Jonnu Smith sucked in our offense. Aaron Hernandez (POS) was pretty damn good in that role.
Where was the breakdown with Jonnu?

I think that Kacmarek is under-rated as a pass catcher. The Pats need to be able to put two blocking TEs on the field to help the running game. Raridon isn't as polished a blocker, but definitely thought of as a better pass catcher. Not sure why ND didn't target him in the EZ over 12 games...

"I think Thibodeaux is gone if they can get a 3rd for him."

Jonnu has bounced around from everywhere he went. Might be a Jonnu thing

He most likely won’t be there at 63, let alone 95.

Then someone is welcome to him at that stage of the draft.
