Only thing that makes sense is Vrabel was not polite or respectful to her. I don't know Vrabes but he doesn't seem that kind of person towards women.
I recall him wanting more say in personnel. She hired Carthon (whom would be fired 2 years later) instead. His pro Kraft comments at his PHOF induction reportedly sent her into a rage

Yea I heard that to re: pro Kraft.

Whatever. Her loss and our gain. She has no idea what the hell she is doing.

His handling of female reporters at all his press conferences is clear evidence he’s not that kind of person. I’m sure that if Miss Amy wanted to bury the hatchet Vrabel would have a very cordial relationship with her. While continuing to devastate her football team on the field of course.

Agree. I bet she eats her young.

I mean, Smith and Brown also have a high probability of doubling up
We're keeping up with the Joneses. We definitely needed edge help.

He feels like a Chaisson level pass rusher. He should be solid but probably not elite. For the money I suppose that's what you get these days.

I like this signing. He's not the answer, like a Crosby signing would have been, but he fills a lack we had last season. The need for a power edge rusher. Chassion isn't one. and Landry wasn't either after his injury. He's a guy who can set the edge and might help as a situational interior rusher who might be effective on some of those stunts the Pats run.

So a good start to the edge situation at a reasonable price for a 29 year old. BTW, I do NOT think this means Chassion won't be resigned. My first choice would have been Phillips and would have been fine with the deal he got. But this looks like we are building incrementally. For 20 years the Pats rarely had a dominant edge rusher, yet usually was a top 10 team in sacks.

Honestly I know little about him. Seems a lot of $$ for career high 7.5 sacks
Yeah, he doesn’t rank among the top 32 defensive ends in NFL last year… I would agree it would seem a little high cost wise for what he has accomplished, but in Vrabel we trust

I can’t tell if THEY view him as a true DE or more an interior sub rusher.

In terms of AAV this deal makes him the #29 highest paid DE and probably more will pass him, definitely Hendrickson at least. This isn't money where you'd expect to get a top 32 pass rusher.

I think Saleh did OK in NY under the circumstances but TN is a **** show and it starts at the top.

IMO, da Jete is very much a **** show starting from the top too, and Saleh showed he is not HC material while he was there. He showed lousy decision making in general and bad clock management in particular, and I don't think these are things you can delegate. He already says he'll be calling his own plays on defense which IMO shows he likes to micro-manage and can't delegate. I think his run in TN will be an even worse **** show. They'll over-draft for defense and be a sub-500 team. Apparently he's quite good at interviews and a rah-rah kind of guy, but that only gets you so far.

He gives Karen Guregian first question everytime

But can he call a meeting of retired players during an offseason trip to Israel and think up neat nicknames for Strunk like “thunderpuss” or whatever?

Teams that pay the price for dominant edge rushers don’t usually win much.
Crosby’s team sucked. TJ Watt hasn’t won anything. Parsons, Garrett, etc. All these guys never win. I guess it’s an overrated position.

When is the last time a team win a SB with an edge rusher as one of its highest paid, best players?
