Chassion reports are is looking to get paid.. If we loosing him.. and with Landry hurt and who knows his future.. now we are talking about needing two starters.. Thibiduaux is a starter on this team IMO.. then you go after a Mafe or oweh.. and draft at least 2 edge rushers.

Chaisson himself seems to think he's coming back to the Patriots.

I wonder what that means about the Alec Pierce situation? Some stories online today that say they might be close to reaching a deal. That said, from the Pats narrative coming out from the combine, doesn’t seem like the Pats would be interested in a big splash like that anyway.

We absolutely, one million percent "can" find an Alec Pierce in the draft. The same thing really applies to any player though. We drafted like **** for so many years that our books are empty by good NFL team standards though. It makes sense for them to spend on players in free agency to fill the spot of players we aren't spending on to re-sign from our horrendous draft classes during the years that would be on their second contracts with us now. I think Pierce is as good an option as there is out there to spend that money on.

Like I just said in my last post, we have money to spend because the draft classes of guys who would be on their second deals with us now mostly sucked so we don't have any of those deals on the books now. If they want to be good they have to make up for that talent via outside FAs. Hendrickson is a great option to spend that money on IMO.
