Drake Maye won 3 playoff games this year and took his team to the SB.I know it has nothing on the "worst playoff QB in NFL history" honors that Drake Maye got, but to be loved far and wide is pretty good.

Wrong. As usual. I can understand why SBs mean nothing to you, it hurts too much to think about, huh?Drake Maye didn't "take" his team anywhere. He desperately held on to the teams coattails as they dragged him there despite his putrid performances.

Drake Maye led his team to the SB. Josh Allen watched the Sb on TV. Again.
But yeah EPA something something….
Won.Led...
Dragged...
Confusing words, I know.
Maybe a hang a banner in the new stadium. It will be the only one Allen ever sees.I know it has nothing on the "worst playoff QB in NFL history" honors that Drake Maye got, but to be loved far and wide is pretty good.
You don't know football. Maye got us everything this year. Maye took the Patriots further than Allen has ever taken anybody. This is why the sportswriters voted him 1 vote short of MVP. You can do a Buffalo barf into the wind all you want but the sportswriters correctly recognized what he did.Drake Maye didn't "take" his team anywhere. It’s a bizarre take. Again - unlike some on here - I’ve always enjoyed having Greencow visit and most of his posts have been just fine.
But Green : I don’t think we have the same take on Maye here. Sure, there were struggles in the playoffs. But when I guy younger than 25 is the QB of a SB participant in his second year in the league, following several years of struggle, it isn’t a failure. Add to that - NE’s attack is and was hampered much of the year. He was struggling yet als dragging the OL and the skill receivers for so much of 2025-26.
I’d rather make the SB in my second year in the league than be likeable. Perhaps you disagree.
So if buffalo won we would’ve faced trubisky?
Tell me you don’t understand the game of football without telling me you don’t understand the game of football.Love you too Farn. I think some people miss the fact that having an opposing voice on this forum makes it BETTER. Instead of an echo chamber. You get that.
As far as Maye goes - I have defended him from Bills fans. He is good. I said it from the beginning. That being said - he was awful in the playoffs. 31 other QB's would have made the Super Bowl with the Pats road in the playoffs. Because of that, I dont give Maye any credit for the SB appearance when he played so poorly.
I like to pride myself on being fair and not a blind hater or homer. Drake took his team to the playoffs with a high seed and deserves the majority of the credit for putting the Pats in a good position to make a SB run. He made some good throws here and there along the way but the defense was largely responsible for taking us to the SB and Drake's performance took a nose dive once the playoffs started. So you are both wrong to me. The truth is in the middle.Drake Maye didn't "take" his team anywhere. He desperately held on to the teams coattails as they dragged him there despite his putrid performances.
