I know which I'd choose - and yes, I would actually watch them from my couch for $10 million a year but not a dollar less.

Interestingly as we're wondering why McDaniels wasn't more active in the head coaching chatter, it may indeed be because everyone knows he'd be giving up $20 million from the Raiders alone to leave here before 2028!

Right - any other team with that many first round draft picks and previous picks starting (both LT and RT) would be ripe for a quick turnaround.

Even if they don't draft a QB this year they could trade a draft pick for Mac Jones and have a decent offense as the 2026 QB draft looks deeper

But these are the Jets - and they still have the same owner.

The guy is a really good dude and excellent defensive coordinator. The only knocks on him is that he took the Jet's job and he needs more experience. He should have waited a year or two and found a better organization who actually wants to win. He will be a DC again next year and build the resume up again. I think he will be a good HC someday. I also think it was the trio of Johnson, Glenn, and Campbell that made the Lions so good with Campbell being the weak point. He is clueless as an OC.
