2026 NFL Combine

Golday can be deployed on more ways.

My comp for Rodriguez is Lavonte David, who I called the best defensive player in the 2012 NFL draft, and who has had a HOF career. Rodriguez is perhaps the most instinctive LB I have seen since David. He has Jedi skills.

In this draft I think CJ Allen, Josiah Trotter and Rodriguez are all guys to captain your defense and make the entire defense better.

If I were Tampa Bay's GM I would take Mesidor at 15 and Rodriguez at 47, and dominate the weak NFC South for the next decade.

Day 1 of the 2026 Combine was as spectacular as any I can remember.

Best LB group I can remember.

Arvell Reese - top 5
Sonny Styles - top 10
CJ Allen (did not test)
Jake Golday*
Josiah Trotter (did not test)
Anthony Hill
Jacob Rodriguez*
Kyle Louis*
Jack Kelly
Justin Jefferson - day 3

Really deep, versatile, athletic, and talented group.

This is a deep EDGE group:

Arvell Reese - top 5
David Bailey - top 10
Rueben Bain
Keldric Faulk*
Akheem Mesidor*
TJ Parker*
Cashius Howell
Zion Young
Gabe Jacas
Malachi Lawrence*
Dani Dennis Sutton*
R Mason Thomas
Derrick Moore
Keyron Crawford

All CB measurements here

Someone at NFL.COM needs to have their arse reamed.

When you go to a prospect page and click on "View All Prospects" it takes you to the 2025 draftees and the pull-down doesn't list 2026 as an option.

Not to mention that their whole set-up is garbage for player pages. They are so keen to push their scoring of prospects yet they aren't honest in how that scoring changed based on pre-post combine.

It is a garbage site, if for no other reason that they don't order their prospects by number. However, just click back from a prospects page and then click "all" at the top. That works fine. Also Lance Zierlein is a bit of a scouting report guru so his reports are always useful.
