Apparently, you've reverted back to making stupid claims with zero thought to them. Since you missed it, a Coach can't run onto the field and correct a player's technique mid-game.

Bud, you're barking up the wrong tree taking this stuff seriously. There was no film study revelation providing Seattle a strategic advantage that tipped the balance. Those Seahawk players are just indulging post-victory braggadocio -- "We're smarter and figured it all out ahead of time! Yeah!"

The game boiled down to our guys being outmanned/overpowered, not outsmarted strategically. This was key: the vast majority of the pressure on and sacks of Maye came from a basic four-man rush, with reports indicating five of the six sacks (and a 48-percent pressure rate) occurred when Seattle rushed four or fewer, often utilizing "simulated pressures" where they showed blitz but dropped defenders into coverage. Inexperience also was a huge factor -- Maye trying to process under duress and Campbell/Wilson getting rag-dolled.

First year coaching staffs are always at a disadvantage. Consistency and communication is so important in the NFL. You need to work on the small details. This isn't so much a matter of a deficiency in our coaching staff as much as it is the natural timeline of any team's progression with a new coach.

This is why only Mike Vrabel and John Gruden have made it to the Super Bowl in the last 50 years as totally new caching staffs in their first year.

The other guys who made it in their first year were already on the staff and just elevated when the previous coach either retired or resigned (Seifert, Callahan, Caldwell, Kubiak).

I'm not a fan of McDaniels and wasn't excited about his return, but this was arguably his best year as a OC. In fact, winning ACOY was a huge step in rehabbing his image which was badly tarnished after the LV fiasco. He was protected by Brady his entire career and this was another chance to prove he can do well without a GOAT QB. Pats roster going into the season was regarded as one of the worst and Josh coached the offense to be among the best (statistically).

The Super Bowl wasn't a good look, but they were flat out overmatched from the first snap. I've never seen an OL so bad and made the Seahawks look similar to how my pass rush was playing Madden. The Seahawks 2nd and 3rd levels of the defense had the night off the Pats OL was so bad. And we all saw the warning signs from the very beginning of the playoffs that we wanted to ignore. The offense against Denver was absolutely atrocious and they very well could've lost had Stidham not throw the backwards pass.

We seem to go bipolar on Maye and/McDaniels. I didn't hear much if any complaints regarding Skippy until after the Super Bowl. If I'm wrong, anyone can find their prior posts to correct me. Also. it was pretty much unanimous on this board Maye should win the MVP. Now some are sounding the alarms on him after the playoffs.

This. We made excuses for the first 3 games of the playoffs because of the quality of the defenses and the weather. Our defense bailed us out and got us further than we reasonably should have gotten. Denver with Bo Nix probably makes the Super Bowl if we are being honest with ourselves.

I know everyone doesn't want to blame the players, but the offense got exposed when they finally faced good defenses and that's just the reality and no coaching was going to take them out of that. The line fell apart, the QB couldn't handle the pressure up front and started to have issues making quick reads, the running game could only get going on the outside and couldn't do anything on the inside and there were no real standout receivers that were consistently making plays.
