2026 Mock Draft Thread

Do you see who Mayes's Peers have for WR's?? An embarrassment of riches compared to ours.
Rome wasn't built in a day. However, in just one season we've laid out the street map and built the foundations. The rest will come.

Yeah but if Ozzie Trapilo is better than Will Campbell boy did we miss.

I agree and that was my thinking too with the knowledge that if he didn't work out at LT, he still had LG. I don't really care about drafting a LG at 4 if he turns out to be a really good one. What was the opportunity cost? Colston Loveland or Tyler Warren? Both good players but I'm not losing sleep over that.

I agree on Lomu - see my post on trading up for Freeling. I think we'll all be revisiting the potential LTs now.

I agree with you fully here. I think the X posts highlighting Campbell’s problems with his technique post injury should be taken into consideration. Watching him play once he came back was tough for me(I am by no means a professional in the field) because it seemed like he was compensating for something when he returned from injury. He didn’t look like the same player, it looked like all his technique for the position just left him. I do hope it’s something he can work on during the off season to really try and get in order because he’s still a very young player.

I do hope this offseason the team decides to slide Jared Wilson into his natural position at center and were able to sign or draft a more natural fit at LG. Even with those moves I’m hoping freelong is the pick because this line needs depth and I think he can afford to sit a year and really develop.

Mike Renner mock:

He has the Pats taking Jake Golday at 31. Monroe Freeling goes 28.

I love Golday, but Max Iheanachor, Alheem Mesidor, and TJ Parker on the board, I'm going with one of those.

I like Mike Renner, but he had Kadyn Proctor going #6. I don't see it, pray it happens.

Keep an eye on Combine visits an early indicator?

For the first time this year, I've opened the draft trade chart. Using the Rich Hill variant which is considered the more up to date one. We can trade up to:

20 using our second rounder

25 using our third rounder. This is the same if we use both our fourth rounders.

28 using our first fourth rounder.

SF at 27, 28 Houston and 29 LA Rams are prime OT spots, so trading up to 26 or higher may be necessary.

Detroit at 17 and Philly at 23 are also possible OT teams.

I would see what happens over the first 15 picks, then be prepared to move aggressivelyvif it looks like there might be a run on OTs.

If RT the priority, my preference is Freeling - Iheanachor - Lomu. If LT a serious consideration then Freeling - Lomu.

This may be an overreaction mock but what else can you do after losing a SB? i'm largely using the consensus big board to determine stock with some Daniel Jeremiah thrown in.

**TRADE** Patriots trade 31 & 63 to Dallas for pick 20.

20. Monroe Freeling, LT, Georgia

Daniel Jeremiah has Monroe Freeling ranked at 24 and it's possible his stock rises further. Dallas does not have a day two pick so this trade works well for both parties. The trade value here is almost perfect in terms of value according to the Rich Hill chart.

Of the later round 1/round 2 OTs, I think Freeling is the best positioned to start early at LT, moving Campbell and Wilson inside by one position.

95. Dametrious Crownover, RT, Texas A & M

He's a developmental pick but he has outstanding size and length and good enough athleticism to not just be a lumbering over-sized tackle. Moses' future replacement.

125. Eli Raridon, TE, Notre Dame

According to the consensus board, Oscar Delp goes just before this pick but that's fine, I see Raridon as someone who can take on the Austin Hooper role. I'd have loved Kyle Louis, Stukes or Skyler Bell here, but they don't fall this far.

131. Josh Cameron, WR, Baylor

It was him or Stribling here. I love both but Cameron gets the edge because I think he can be a higher volume pass catcher. Either/or though.

169. VJ Payne, Safety, Kansas State

Having attacked the offense again, we can start on defensive depth and we start at safety. Nick Emmanwori-lite.

189. Charles Demmings, CB, Stephen F Austin

Developmental backup press-man CB with reported outstanding athleticism. We'll find out in two weeks.

200. Kaden Wetjen, WR, Iowa

Adding some special team return juice. There'd be a decent roster battle between him and Chism for a potential slot position.

207. Ceyair Wright, CB, Nebraska

Fits the Vrabel team captain/team leader identity perfectly. That's backup safety, outside and slot corners fixed.

210. Justin Jefferson, LB, Alabama

A fast linebacker to help defend those edges - the one weakness on display for our defense last night.

247. Rohan Jones, TE, Arkansas

A developmental flex TE from Arkansas to possibly replace our current flex TE from Arkansas. Everyone is sleeping on Jones, but other than Sadiq, I think he might genuinely be the most athletic TE in this class. He has a 26.7 yard per reception average and has almost double the Y/RR of any TE in this class in '25. more limited snaps for sure, He's a legitimate deep threat TE. I am really intrigued by him.

The trade up and double dip at OT meant i missed out on a number of prospects I really like but in an overreaction mock, needs must.

No QB....hardly an overreaction.

Honestly? I don’t know how to feel about that. I like the players but I’m not sure they’ve given up on Campbell as LT just yet.

They probably haven't. We're just exploring the what-if I suppose. It does make some sense though. You could argue that Freeling not only upgrades LT, but also LG (Campbell over Wilson) and provides for the future at C saving us having to draft someone. so potentially, one pick (two if you include the trade up), upgrades three positions and saves a mid round pick on a center. There is some merit to it.

No doubt about it. I’m just saying if that is what happens I’m not sure how I would feel. Good most likely

Not much EDGE rush in that draft, for the guy who has been EDGE first up until recently. And I'm the biggest Freeling homer on this board.

BTW, in 2013 Dallas traded back from 18 to 31 with SF for a 3rd round pick (#74). So maybe 31, 95 and a 4th would be enough.

I'm not giving up on Campbell at LT just yet. Campbell-Freeling/Iheanachor bookend tackles has been my dream, but I agree that Freeling-Campbell-Wilson could be dominant.

In this scenario I'm addressing EDGE in free agency. I'm feeling better about Campbell after seeing all the OT experts come out in support. As I said, it's an overreaction mock but like you, am quite attracted to Freeling-Campbell-Wilson.

How about:

1. Trade up for Freeling this year, see how things work out with Campbell at LT.

2. If Campbell sticks at LT, you have bookend tackles. Go after Austin Siereveld /Carter Smith/Cayden Green in 2027.

3. If you move Freeling to LT, Will Campbell to LG, and Jared Wilson to OC, go after Jordan Seaton in 2027.

Option 2 is the best although that's quite a big investment for a RT. As for option 3, I actually like Crownover dependent on the combine. It would be nice to put the tackle need behind us. and you can't make plans based upon the 2027 draft. Too many variables.

Campbell at LT, Freeling at RT is the most likely outcome of these scenarios. Although if we’re going that route, Miller or Iheanachor probably make the most sense because Freeling’s stock likely moves up. Necessitating a trade up.
