As per fund raising, what about some sort of raffle akin to meat raffles, but with pats swag? Perhaps an auction where users could donate items, etc?

Just throwing ideas out there, there's more than one way to skin a cat.
You vicious monstrous person, touch one hair on our Sammy and Irish Mafia will come knocking.

@Ian took care of this.

Strikes me that 1. this may be the tip of an iceberg heading for your business model (Mr. Sunshine here) and 2. there has been some pretty good small business/tech business conversation on the site before. If you have any interest in taking full advantage of that, we could organize a workshop on Zoom to see what might get created on behalf of Patsfans.

Bottom line, I've gotten to know you a little bit over the years and would encourage you to lean in to letting us help in every way possible. You aren't burdening anyone. There's a lot of us here with a deep well of gratitude.

@Ian , I wonder if you can also activate ad blocker checker. It may be playing a factor. Let this site force folks to turn off ad blocker.

I assume you have looked into this, but do you have someone who knows Search Engine Optimization well? We used to have a whole team of people and they would tell us ways to our pages noticed more by searches.

In addition to asking for more ideas, everyone could also send $100.

Right now, the server is just over $585 per month including Cloudflare and a couple of services. Again, there have already been several people who submitted some incredibly generous donations, which is unbelievably kind. Can’t express how grateful I am given that wasn’t my intention with this thread and it certainly will help take the pressure off a bit as we head into the offseason.

My goal with this was to get people to help give us a boost in Google’s algorithm, which any type of traffic bump on tue content side will help. Trying to play the long game while I fight this, so thank you to everyone who did click on that and has helped me out with this so far.
Have you tried reaching out to the Patriots organization? I took a quick peak earlier and there is no forum on the team site. Nor is there a link to one. Given the moderation enforcement of a mostly family friendly site, I'd expect risk to be low on the Patriots site.

Given the work you've put in maintaining everything over the years, I'd say you have a better argument over reddit pages, etc...

A closed mouth doesn't get fed.

Even if the request was for a page with links to the various online forums available, it'd likely help with Google search results.

On the bright side, my quick google search for Patriots forum on a public computer this AM returned patsfans as the number 1 result.

I managed sites and we are experiencing the same drop in traffic due to the algorithm change in Google.

Good luck Ian.

Done Ian and thanks for all your hard work.
