You know how bad it would look if Maye said that Brady reached out ? Opens up a slippery slope for any Patriots games he may call in the future. He was getting **** over the Raiders/Bears game

While I don’t have any ill will towards Brady and his comments and I was happy when Brady won his 7th in Tampa. I never understood Patriots fans walking around in Buccaneers jerseys. It was odd to me everytime I noticed it

I've been making the same point ever since Bowl-Cut Ginger Man served Tom a sliver of his pie. Brady's loyalties aren't with New England.

Brady is impartial for the Super Bowl, but he had no problems publicly endorsing Stafford, and acting like Drake needs to know his place.

Go watch Edelman's video of reminiscing about Brady leaving for Tampa and Brady not even telling him. Edelman is on the verge of tears, you can see how much that must have hurt him after everything they went through. And, of course, Brady couldn't find the time to honor him when he went into the Patriots hall of fame.

Antonio Brown, as big of an idiot as he was, was right about Brady. As long you can contribute to his goals, he will do everything to please you, once you can't, you're disposable and yesterday's news.

If he was a professional, he would never have went to bat for Stafford. He would have had the same attitude he has for this game, ''no dog in this fight, both deserve it, the two best QB's, etc...'' That he publicly endorsed the QB that does not play for the Patriots and he's at best, indifferent about whether the team that drafted him, he played 20 years for, and put up a statue in his name 6 months ago, wins the Super Bowl or not, says everything about him.

He will always be my favorite athlete, but the less said about him as a person, the better.

It is not a news story to understand that TB12 was a bit of a weirdo... and was/is always about himself. The Alex Guerrero debacle by itself was enough to confirm that. Do we expect loyalty from the guy that was on the yacht belonging to the owner of a rival team? C'mon. Talk about stabbing the owner of your current team who referred to you as his "other son"... Fair enough, but are you saying that there wasn't a huge portion of the fan base rooting for him as well??? Myself included.

I get that he has moved on, has new goal and priorities, couldn't be happier for him. But none of that means his deference for NE and lack of basic loyalty to the team he grew up with, doesn't sting like hell.

Don't care about this. The GOAT can do what the GOAT wants to do. The Pats owe him not vice versa. I also believe he would rather tell the team in private he's rooting for them for several reasons and I think he is. Got no problem with that.

Only thing I can think of is theres something contractually binding him (FOX or the Raiduhs) to not publicly endorse/support an NFL team over another at a national media level (TV, streaming services, social media, podcasts, etc).

Statues, retirement ceremonies, etc do not fall into this category as "rooting" as they are regional events.

I believe Tom cares about Kraft, Vrabes, and the NEP and wants them to succeed....he just can't root for them publicly.
