The dude is a part owner of the Raiders. He just hired the Seahawks OC as his new HC. He's got a statue in Foxboro, has friends here on the staff and he's trying to (more like been told to) maintain some level perceived objectivity while he calls the game. He's gotta play it down the middle of the fairway.

Seriously, some of y'all need to not be so sensitive. Your team is in the Super Bowl. Pour yourself a beverage and celebrate. Every one of us here would have been happy just making the playoffs a year ago. Relax.

I'm sure Brady has private phone calls or texts with Vrabel and wishes him the best. It really doesn't make me feel any better to hear Tom say publicly he's rooting for the Pats to win. It's not going to change the outcome one bit.

He's literally about to hire the Seahawks coordinator as the HC of the team he is a part owner of and is getting almost all the credit for that hire. Kubiak was considered one of the gem cycles of this hire and Brady wooing him is being reported as the reason he is going to the Raiders.

People need to get over the fact that he has business interests and also doesn't owe the franchise anything. The franchise owes him.

Actually great point. Also don’t think Brady is very sentimental about New England either. And that’s ok. He was the GOAT for two decades…whatevs.

Tom Brady owns a part of another franchise and has to play diplomat as a national broadcaster. He’s quite literally no longer a Patriot despite the nice speech. If Kraft had offered him a slice of the team maybe he would still be but that didn’t happen and so here we are. Get over it.

If the Seattle wins, that makes Sam Darnold 1 for 1 in Super Bowl appearances and then EVERYONE will be saying that Darnold is better than Brady because he NEVER lost in the Super Bowl, placing Darnold ahead of Brady as GOAT

Both of them of course would still be behind Joe Montana who, unlike Brady, batted 1.000 when it came to his Super Bowl appearances

So Brady should realize that his legacy among the haters is on the line, and he could slip from #2 to #3 if the Pats lose

But he’s not part of the team now.

I love this team… our coach(es), our QB, our entire vibe.

I’m psyched to root for this team for the next 20 years, and since I’m 65, that’s the rest of my life give or take.
