You’re a better man than me. I would have let her have it with both barrels.
I was at Buffalo Wild Wings for SB51. We're the only Pats table. The place was loud and roaring and happy up to 28-3 -- not giving us any ****, just normal celebrating being ahead. You could graph the noise level starting to decrease. It got quieter .. and quieter .. and pin drop quiet. It's like you could literally see the life the draining out of the crowd. Kinda sad actually. We tried not to be jerks and rub it in, but it was hard not to make some noise.

Are you watching the game at a big party? Or just with a small group? Or alone?
Are you watching with other Pats fans, or will there be people rooting for the Seahawks?
And what time does the drinking start?

I typically go to a big SB party where everyone roots against the Pats. But none of my friends are throwing one this year, so I'll just be watching at home with my immediate family.

I watch Pats SB's in one of two ways. 1. At home alone. 2. Tailgating at the SB. This one I will be home alone (hopefully with my sons) we'll see. Only way to watch a Pats SB IMO other than a room full of Pats fans if you are so inclined to have to explain to uncle Timmy what an illegal formation is vs a false start and why one blew the play dead and the other didn't while simultaneously hoping he didn't catch the ref signal is the same for both! IMO, you can't really watch the game that way. Be there or watch alone possibly w/ lubed up lunatics on your level!

I’ll unfortunately be traveling. I’ll be in DC on Sunday looking for a Pats friendly place to watch. Open to suggestions.

Since I no longer live in New England, I prefer to watch it alone unless its a  very small group of close friends and family.
I never will attend a Super Bowl party if the Patriots are playing. I only go to those when Pats ain't in it, since I won't get pissed off if some babe walks in front of the TV at a crucial point. Half the people at Super Bowl parties don't know **** about football.
If Pats are in it I never want to miss a single play. To me, this is sacred.
Most of you know what I'm talking about.
This is our Church.

We were planning to head to a local sports bar. But my buddy decided to host since he has family in town. So it will be all Pats fans. Which is great. For the divisional game there were Texans fans out and about. I shouldn't let it bother me but it still does to hear fans cheering against our team.

People, some close friends not into football as much as I am but know I "love football" and the Pats couldn't understand why I didn't want to attend their "kickass" Super Bowl party. I tried explaining but unless I was there or them with me, they would never understand how intense I get and that I would have ruined their "kickass" SB party for them and their guests.

Do any of you have any traditions/superstitions you do or follow during and before etc. game day? Only shaving when you lose or win the SB. If I’m not mistaken, quite a few of our players ended up with lumberjack beards several years ago. Mostly OL if remembering it right. I can’t say I remember seeing TFB rocking that look though.

Last year I felt as if me watching the game resulted in losses, which I came to realize it was mostly coach NoMayo….

I am planning to head in to Murphy’s in Alexandria, think @PatsFanInVa may be joining me.
That looks like the viewing plan Sunday, lord willin an the crick don't rise

@neuronet, it is hard to have a bad Murphy's experience... just friendly Pats fans from all over, mainly Boston "ex-Pats" but plenty who have kept the faith far from the Hub

Thanks for the tip! How early will I need to show up to get a seat?

Bruce n1997y has been the expert on that so far... usually it's an hour before game time, because that's when doors open... it might be 3 for this thing, but I'm going by memory. @n1997y ?

Wow, it's still there. I had a few Guinness stouts there back in the '90s. Should be an excellent place to watch the game!

I was listening to a little of the NFC Championship Game and I thought he was a lot more solid than when he started. I think when he's talking about the details of the games and the nuances of playing, he's really good. I'm not a big fan when he starts telling stories and anecdotes.
If I get the volume just right I can have it low enough so I don't hear the announcers actual words but can still hear the din of the crowd and the refs.

It’s on NBC, so we will get everyone’s favorite color commentator Chris Collinsworth (sarcasm).

I absolutely dread the halftime show.
I never want to watch the halftime show or listen to Collinsworth, who's the main reason so many people think the Butler play was because of a Seahawks mistake rather than the greatest defensive play in SB history. The only time he didn't cry about the play was when he blamed the Pats for the mele at the end.

Sorry about the rant, but this is SB Week damn it.

In 2006 I thought I remember there being a big Pats fan club or Pats fan contingency in San Diego when we were going there in the playoffs. I wonder if that followed the Chargers to LA
My son could be looking for a place in the LA area. He and his wife just moved there.

There's a prop out there on how many times Collinsworth will mention Mahomes.

Hammer the over on whatever the number is.

I just called and was told they will open upstairs to begin seating at 4:30. I’ll try to get there before that to get in line and start pregaming. Might be best if we meet up in line, or inside as soon as we can after doors open. I’m sure it’ll be a zoo!

I was invited to a buddies place, he’ll have about 10 people there, but once Pats made it I told him I’m out. About half the people there will be going Seahawks, and I’m a pretty sore loser, so might not be a good mix if things don’t go well!

I’m gonna stay home..wife and kid can watch game with me… or they can go to the mall…doesn’t really matter. Either way, like most playoff Patriot games, I’ll be pacing, yelling, swearing, cheering, fist pumping, and more. Will bake some nachos, lots of beef and cheese, and will hopefully be celebrating Sunday night.
