I 100% believe Russini on this, but highly doubt the Raiders would trade Crosby to the Pats. Brady will probably never send anyone of Crosby's caliber to NE to avoid cries of aiding his former team. If, in a hypothetical scenario, the Pats were offering the best return for Crosby then LV would be dumb not to take it, but... I just don't see it.

Welcome to NE in 2026. It's going to be him or Hendrickson watch.

Hendrickson is far more realistic imo.

And Crosby is the first of many who will want to come here.
Hendrickson is a Pats fan.

This would be a good year to trade for him if possible.

He shouldn’t have signed that extension.

Crosby doesn't have a no trade clause, but he can make it hard for any team he doesn't want to go to to get him. He has a $30 million base salary in 2026 and most teams that would acquire him would want to renegotiate his deal to push some of that money into later years. If he doesn't, a lot of teams do not have the cap room to trade for him.

This is the year I'm prepared to trade my first round pick. But the Raiders would be stupid to do it.

Crosby vs Campbell....iron sharpens iron.

I'm not sure about that. Crosby is 30. The Raiders are pretty devoid of talent. They need as much draft capital as possible. And Crosby is going to be on the downside by the time they are good again.

It would take more than a first round pick to get it done. I am thinking a second to pair with it. I think the Raiders would do it. They have too many needs and Crosby takes up too much cap space and is older.

I think Crosby is pretty much done as an elite pass rusher

He's a big name, but I don't think the production will ever get up to any kind of high level, even if he can stay healthy

The guy was still in the top 10 in both pass rush win rate and run stuff win rate. He is still elite or near elite. He may or may not be at his ultimate elite form, but he is still a top DE in the league. And putting him next to Barmore and Williams and possibly Chaisson on the other side would give the Pats a top d-line in the league.

The question is what it will take to get him. But if it is reasonable, you make the trade. He would easily be the top free agent this year if he was free. All things being equal (no trade compensation, same contract), I would much rather have him then Trey Hendrickson.

Actually, the fact Hendrickson missed the entire year makes me weary of signing him.

I'd love Crosby, but the trade value might not be worth it especially if you can coax Trey Hendrickson here as a free agent. Yeah, 31 off an injury but also why he might not make the big bucks in free agency, even a 1 year prove it deal might entice him and might be more reasonable option without losing draft capital.

Raider should trade him, the same way Browns should have traded Myles Garrett. Use your best asset to get a jump on a rebuild. He'll only be 29 to start the season, so they need to make sure they get a lot for him as he should be good for 3 more seasons. He will tap out just about the time any normal rebuild will be clicking in. Raiders have a ton of cap space so they don't need to trade him which means they will be asking for a lot but why hold a guy that will be going downhill when the rebuild is likely done. Take the draft capital, take the increased losses not having him and rebuild better.
