My Ridiculously Early Start on a 2026 Offseason Plan

I’d do a 1st and a 2nd next year or something like that.
I like next years class too much, at least potentially. The other problem is that we're picking 31 or 32. There's going to be someone picking higher that will likely be in for him too, which means we'd have to overpay.

He wants....we'll take him for what we can scrape together.
We can scrape together multiple firsts and seconds. I'd rather put a limit on what we'll scrape together.

I like the advertisement though. Thanks, Maxx (Maxx, manx. I said, Maxx!)

I’m counting on him pulling some strings to come here.

I only meant to link to the second part of this tweet.

More than Micah is absurd. How did that work out for the Packers? 2 years wasted due to injury - no thanks, really stupid trade.

Stay the course taken in 2025. Sign guys like Spillane, Williams, and Chaisson. Ignore stupid deals like Micah and Crosby.

20 guys called him? LOL. 20 GMs are consulting with J Glazer on personnel deals? LOL. What drama.

Thanks for the support, Manman. Maxman. Manmax. Manaxx. Maxxnam. Whatever your name is.

Madman was how Lance described the heroin he sold to Vinnie Vega;

For all us ol' WBCN listeners, Maxanne is also acceptable.

Yep, only 4th or later picks are what I am interested in trading.

I really hope the coaching staff has been having Brock Lampe watching James Develin and Lorenzo Neal videos. Westover has made some good blocks at times but he seems to immediately try to grab around the back of the shoulder pads/ hug em. Thats one of my wishes

2025 was about as good of a FA and draft as we have had in a long long time. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
Good luck when you marry yourself to one process that is as unpredictable as the Draft. All I'm saying.

So here's a question for you all. In the following scenario, where do you look at pick 64?

1. Sign a FA edge rusher: Hendrickson, Oweh, Phillips
2. Re-signed Chaisson
3. draft an OT at 32: Freeling, Iheanachor, Miller

That really opens up pick 64 to a number of options. It does seem like BPA would really come into play then.

CB
iOL
Safety
WR
LB

That depends. I think there is such a big drop off between Mesidore, Parker and every other edge left after that point. Is the drop off for OL just as dramatic?

Also the price for a decent edge is so large and they tend to be so hard to get without any issues. Where as every year there are decent solutions for OL if you are willing to pony up the money. Outside of LT anyway.

I'd rather solve the OL in free agency than pass rush as that seems more reliable as long as your willing to spend for the guys.

I've been supporting taking Hendrickson as i want impact guys. But instead if we pivot to really investing in OL and draft an edge. That seems the most efficient use of resources as far as price tags go.
