i watch the game alone.

Much like last two weeks, when it gets tense, i may not be the best host/company...
100% Pape: Friends think I'm rude but they just don't understand: I just like being with my Game thoughts.

I'm in Gillette for all home games. My wife will watch away games with me until I start cursing loudly at the TV (usually a few minutes into the first quarter). I probably will go to a friend's home for this Super Bowl.

Will be at freaking Disney World with family of all places.. Thought it was a bad omen to pay and book a table at the handful of paid viewing spots as of 4-5 weeks ago. More so, the Super Bowl wasn’t really a thought when booking the trip. Now the venues are booked out and trying to figure out a bar or restaurant situation for a handful of adults. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Home
Chill w Girlfriend & dog
Big screen & fire going
Brisket going on 8am - simple dry rub
Frito scoop chili poppers
Dr Pepper ( I only drink when I go out, not at home)
Chocolate milkshakes win or lose

Go Pats!

I have a rule I have lived by since the Pats first SB.
If the Pats aren't in, I watch at a party with friends.
If the Pats are in, I watch the game by myself.
I have booked the following Monday off, for 2 reasons:
1. If they win I will be up super late watching/reading all the post game analysis and will do that all Monday as well.
2. If the lose, I won't be able to sleep thinking about the game.
When they lost to the Packers I literally didn't sleep for 2 nights. Just laid awake thinking if they just kicked the ball out of bounds all game they woulda won.
Sounds very similar to my viewing options. If the Pats play I really don’t want anyone else around, other than my wife and kids because they understand.

Home sweet home.. 120 inch projector

Since it is the Patriots, I need to be home alone.

If superstition is my guide...

SB20: Watched with immediate family (was a child) X
SB31: Watched with immediate family X
SB36: Watched with a party (70/30 Pats fans)
SB38: Watched with a few bros (was the only Pats fan)
SB39: Watched with a party (I was the only Pats fan)
SB42: Watched with immediate family X
SB46: Watched with immediate family X
SB49: Was in out of contact in the Army (training)
SB51: Watched with a couple bros (was the only Pats fan)
SB52: Watched with immediate family X
SB53: Watched with a party (I was the only Pats fan with all Squealer fans)

My bank account lacks sufficient zeroes at the end to go to the game and had planned to watch with immediate family, but just realized that could be a costly mistake. I don't know of any parties around, so may have to go to a bar?

And my lucky hoodie is a work hoodie (as soon as I took it off, Maye threw the pick against the Chargers, so I put it back on), so I'll be incognito.

There might be a viewing party at Disney world?

Go to the game location.

There is a Pat Fan club 17 miles from the stadium which is where I will likely watch the game.

Where are you staying? Lots of good spots in and around the Parks... happy to point out a few depending on your location for the day...

Made the mistake once of attending a great SB party hosted by Patriots fan friends in the restaurant business who featured great spread of both solid and liquid refreshments. Feb 2018 SB vs the Eagles. With all the distractions I remember little of the game except the start & finish. Couldn't hear TV commentary which was both good & bad. Post game they swore they'd never host again because Pats lost & distractions. Sadly both fine people passed away a couple years ago.
If Pats aren't in it I don't always watch but if I do I'll sometimes watch with others.
This year just wife & I'll watch on 77" OLED. DVR running. No distractions or halftime show. Maybe a single malt for company.

I've always been a small group kinda guy, or going in person. Not a fan of the large parties, want to be able to actually watch and listen to the game with some good food and ****tails.

Back in August, we scheduled 6 nights in Punta Cana, DR for 2/4-2/10 (completely forgetting it was SB weekend)

Sooooooo......... when it finally dawned on me several weeks ago that THIS was actually a possibility, I initially panicked.

But then....... this is the same all-inclusive resort we went to last year - - - with all you can eat/drink at 8 restaurants plus all you can eat/drink at the Sports Bar and 24 hour unlimited room service. I went from panic to ............ 'omg, this is gonna be pretty, pretty....good'.

So schedule is: (DR is 1hr ahead)
2-6 Beach
6-7:30 restaurant dinner
7:30 - 1st half Sports Bar (again, DR is 1 hr ahead of EST)
2nd half Room service

Postgame:
if Pats lose - nightclub drowning sorrows
if Pats win - inhaling the internet

We're hosting a watch party, never got the chance to before. I'm gonna smoke a brisket, some smoke/fried buffalo wings, cheddar and jalapeno sausage, and smoked queso. I am going in with high hopes and low expectations. This season has been a blessing and a joy to follow already. It would suck to lose the Super Bowl but I'm happy and satisfied as is.

That being said, if we're down 21-3 like we were to the Falcons I'm probably going into the basement to sulk on my own lol

I remember watching SB 51 at the Cask n Flagon in Fenway. When we went down 21-3 you would've thought someone killed my dog. I was dejected, and made even more pissed by the fact that everyone else in the bar was laughing and having a good time. Didn't understand how anyone could be happy in a time like that. I remember taking the T home and watching the rest of the game alone in my apartment while we mounted the greatest comeback of all time.

Since then I've committed to just enjoying the ride, enjoying the moment, and not letting anything I can't control ruin the moment

Winner!

If the Pats are in it, normally I watch alone and pace. But my oldest kid has finally gotten old enough to become a true Pats fan, so we're doing a family Super Bowl party, during which I will probably pace.

I always watch by myself. I watch regular games wherever I can get them with the sound muted, then listen to the Pats' radio broadcast. I still miss Gil and Geno but Sosci is a pro and it's fun to hear Zo's falsetto rants when he loses his mind over something. I also open up the box score @ ESPN and usually the PatsFan game chat.

I assume there won't be a Pats' radio broadcast for the SB - will there?? - so I'll probably listen to the broadcast audio.

I won't watch the halftime crap: I never do.

I'm in a tiny cabin up in the mountains for the winter. No running water but I have electricity. Will be watching over the internet one way or another.
