At this rate we're going to have an alleged unanimous vote for Belichick.

Well, 49-1, with Ron Borges the one vote on the other side.

Polian keeps backtracking, initially denied the story of him campaigning against Belichick and now is saying he can’t remember if he voted for him or not. Probably worried he’s going to have his vote exposed and is covering his tracks like the slime that he is. We all know Borges voted no, and Dungy is such a hater I’d expect him to have voted not too. Fouts was one of the most vocal against the Pats during his time as a color commentator, I’m sure he voted no too.

Selective memory?? How can Polian not remember, sounds like a DC politician.
Then there is Ron Borges who always was a Belichick detractor who resisted effort effort and positive attribute of BB...
How come Borges is the area rep who votes on this type of thing??? Time for some new blood that does not have an ax to grind with the Patriots... Borges used to make my blood boil when he wrote about BB & the Pats.... little has changed.

There's a couple more. I've bolded those who are 100% lying about their vote. So far it's Myers, Polian, Cabot, Salguero, Polian. McClain and Carucci are also both definitely lying. I'm skeptical about Jason Cole as well.

I feel confident saying they're lying, based on every single comment those people have made over the last 30 years, publicly.

I don't think Dungy or Fouts voted no, to be honest. This was a writer's media phenomenon entirely.

Top of the list. Well top right after Polian
100%. Polian made his case, and Borges, the self-important PoS, rubber stamped it. The fact that Borges is a voter from this area is a joke. I'd wager Dungy and Fouts, but beyond that, I can't say. Probably the writer from Indianapolis and maybe Baltimore, but it's really irresponsible of me to say these guys are guilty because of geography.

The whole thing is a joke. Bill was an ******* to people, so the voters can exact a pound of flesh now. Petty ********.

I'd be shocked if Dungy and Fouts both didn't vote yes. There's a difference between former players and media weasels.

I'm interested to see how it all shakes out. Dungy was very vocal on his distaste for Bill's methods. If my memory is correct, Fouts was too. I get they are former players, but they are media members now.

Sure, but Dungy doesn't seem the type to say 'I'm in the hall of fame, but BELICHICK isn't"

Look at all these players coming out - these people don't have any love lost for the Patriots. Players tend to be big 'Can't tell the story of the game without _____" people.

To me, Talking Heads aren't really the media I'm talking about - they just do basic talking points and focus grouped engagement phrases. Dan Fouts was the most basic color guy of all time.

This has nothing to do with Belichick's 'methods', all the performative outrage at the time and since, was simply engagement baiting.

This has everything to do with sports writer weasels sticking it to Belichick because he was mean to them in press conferences. Or mean to their buddies. That's what this is. Bill Polian, one of the most jealous mother****ers on the planet, not satisfied with his own accolades, and probably Borges got enough entitled writers to flip their votes. And their """""integrity""""" is on full-display, with them bald-faced lying about their votes.

It's never been about "integrity of the game", this is about Belichick treating idiots like idiots publicly. Whether you agree or disagree with his methods, it's an incredibly petty reason.

I agree, and to me this is why it is a non-story, it was 100% predictable that there were enough weasels in the sports writer's community to deny BB first-ballot entry to the HOF. He may never get in for all we know. Yet it doesn't change a thing about Bill or his achievements here and as HC of CLE or DC of NYG. It's all about a clique of under-achieving liberal-arts majors having a conniption because he didn't kiss their rosy-red asses. They wish they had the balls to make their own rules the way BB did, but they know they don't.

I think you're off on Dungy, but ok. I think Dungy gets very preachy, almost holier than thou. I can see him being very disapproving of Bill and punishing him further.

He is preachy and a ****ing weirdo, but I think that honestly leads to him voting for Belichick, rather than against. The jealousy **** was Polian. Dungy got his ring, he didn't care.

My best guess:

Borges
Polian
Dungy
Fouts
Cimini
McClain
Gosselin
Carucci
Ledbetter
Balzer
Polian, Dungy and Cimini for sure. I though Gosselin (Dallas media) was a Belichick fan but I could be wrong.

Still a fkn Disgrace a day later.
I REALLY HOPE we get an HONEST Vote tally soon.
Everyone KNOWS that LOSER PLAGIARIST Bogus voted No, along with Polian that fkn crying little loser ****.

No matter what anyone thinks about Bill today it does not change what he has accomplished in the NFL. The guy is a first round HOF selection no matter how you look at it. If you voted "no" on him then you didn't vote on the body of work you voted on a personal dislike for the man. If that's the case have the F$*KING B@ll$ to own that vote....so many spineless F&%KERS.

My best guess:

Borges
Polian
Dungy
Fouts
Cimini
McClain
Gosselin
Carucci
Ledbetter
Balzer
Why would you think that Gosselin wouldn't vote for BB?
