I went to the last NE-Seattle game in Glendale and was fortunate my sister lives there. Tickets were $2K each and went up to $9K on game day. I considered selling but didn't. It killed me that there were 4 empty seats in the row in front of us, giving us a great view but the opportunity costs...... My wife encouraged me to go, " you never know if they'll make it back". Well they did 4 more times.....(Atl, PHL, LAR, SEA).
It is an experience, from SWAT teams. security apologizing for the pat downs, celebrity watching and all the free swag....
I was there too.

Met NEM, Andre Tippet, Bob Kraft, Matt Hasselbeck. Saw Don Schula, Nomar, Lynn Swann and a Chicago White Sox pitching coach bought me a drink. I met this character from Boston whose father was on the Red Sox ground crew. Through meeting the Boston guy I scored my ticket because he knew a couple from Baltimore and the husband worked for ESPN. The ESPN guy had to work last minute and sold me his ticket for 1k. I sat next to his wife who was a sweetheart.

Ticket prices are insane.

I've never seen them this high. Still Im likely going. It will be good to be in 60 - 70 degree weather for awhile. Plus, I need to drive my new truck because I read that synthetic oil that sits in the engine is bad for it. A 4000 mile trip ought to do it. I drove my older 2013 truck that I still have to 7 Super Bowls, back to Mass and to and from Houston a dozen times. Synthetic oil and 250,000 miles and it still runs like a top. Mobil 1 is for real and you can change at 9000 mile intervals.

Literally in my backyard
I live in San Jose so it's a 10 minute drive away

If yalll need tips to get to the stadium and save yourself money let me know
Any suggestions on which airport to use and city to stay in? San Fran or San Jose?

Are there any hotels we can just walk to Levi Stadium from? Or any other suggestions where to stay?

Where's the best place to park on GameDay too?

Thx

First time considering going. You think get-in price will drop down to $5k? I’ve set a hard limit at $10k for two tickets.

This seems to suggest they might come down 20% or so by the end of next weekend.

I would be very surprised to see ticket prices lower, but you never know. Maybe Seattle fans are afraid of the Pats after Malcom Butler.

The Pats are going to win. I highly recommend that you go.

I would personally use San Jose airport its very easy to navigate and usually the more economic option...

I strongly suggest staying near the Great Mall in Milpitas or around it there's a few hotels around there that it's a walking distance to the VTA Light rail that takes you directly to the stadium so you won't even need to park. The train will drop you off there directly
If you can't find rooms in Milpitas then anywhere near it cause you can just Uber to the Great Mall and take the light rail that's the hack everyone uses here for GameDay when the 49ers play.

Saw Josh Klein's family ( all wearing Klein jerseys) and Nate Ebner's grandparents (two old people wearing Ebner jerseys was the giveaway) Sweet couple. Got delayed coming home due to a storm on East Coast so hung around the airport with other PAts fans, some of whom still had their lanyards around their neck and looked like they were still drunk........
EDIT- You win the celebrity meet.

I was at that same event at the fan club in the strip mall. Meeting NEM was a bit surreal.

Nate Ebner: one of the top-4 Jewish Patriot players of all time!!

I have everything booked... except for the game tix. I'm going to wait a few days because the prices now are insane. Never seen anything like it either, and this ain't my first rodeo.

I'm a 7 time patron myself - 38, 39, 42,46, 49, 52 and 53. I stuck to a $1000 ticket budget and made it inside twice. Unfortunately both Giants games. It really helped that NYers were there because they forced ticket prices down. They know the game. The Seattle Super Bowl was just the opposite. Those people had money burning a hole in their pockets.

I'm going too.. Driving. I figure that it will take 2 days @ 900 miles per day, but I could do it in a day. Basically its the same distance as Mass. Hotels are very reasonable. It will be good to soak up some Cal sunshine and warm weather. Perhaps the ticket prices starting out so exorbitant will have the opposite effect and lower costs in the end.

Yes, across from a Duncan Donuts.

Tippet and the Krafts came in a Limo and Bob gave away some SB tickets. NEM and I didn't talk that long. I suspected that he wanted to talk to Bob Kraft about the play calling. Do you remember all the letters that NEM wrote Bob about Charlie Weis? And that Bob gave a letter to Charlie Weis and Charlie sent NEM an autographed 8 x 10 of Charlie sitting outside at Pats camp in Smithfield RI ? NEM posted the pic here and was so proud.

Thank you.

Yup, those SB lanyards sell like hotcakes. Whenever I fly something goes wrong just like your flight.

My wife informed me that I will be going as she bought a couple of Kraft’s raffle tickets. When I went in 85 every season ticket holder could go. In 2001 I think they created a lottery. Now I think it is mainly rich folks and few actual fans.

I went to the first Rams/Patriots Super Bowl. Won the tickets on the Jets' website. Sat in the endzone of Vinatieri's clincher.

BTW, the Super Bowl should be in N'Orleans every year. One of the best weekends of my life.

I met the ESPN crew at the time in New Orleans. Merril Hodge, Sterling Sharpe, I cannot remember the rest. Met Luis Gonzales which was right after he hit the game winning hit against the Yankees in the World Series. He was coming up to all the Pats fans at the bar we were at. Said hello to Steve Young as he walked by like a 90 year old man. Boy did he look like his playing years took a toll on his body. Saw Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears.

I wasn't "lucky" enough to meet NEM. Those were the classic days before McDaniels when he *****ed about Charlie Weis.

I don't get it. I thought he hated Charlie Weiss

Remember The smokestack Ernie Zampese? Another NEM fav!
Before this forum existed.
NEM did not like me.
