I went back and watched more of the Seahawks games from this year, and I think they're clearly the class of the NFC. That said, while Darnold processes and distributes much more quickly than he used to, I still see him occasionally get rattled or indecisive under a heavy pressure. I do think our corners and our d line will work in tandem to slow down their passing attack, and I have zero concern about the rushing attack as long as we don't allow their backs to get in space. Their skill players are some of the best in the league. Their OL doesn't really impress me, however. I think we have a significant and underrated advantage there.
They have plenty of playmakers across all three levels of the defense, but they're far from lockdown. I think they can get bullied a bit in the run game, especially if we commit to having a full back or a sixth lineman. If we can contain their pass rush, then I see plenty of opportunities for deep shots, which Maye excels at but hasn't been able to display consistently this postseason due to facing teams with furious pass rush and tenacious coverage. The Seahawks are fast and physical, but I don't think they are as discipline or as talented as the Texans are even Broncos. They can be had for sure, and I think McDaniels will drop a master class in play design and play calling.
I've gone from thinking the Seahawks would almost certainly win to favoring the Patriots by a small amount. Let's go shock the sports world.
