Fully prepped... supplies laid down... battery banks charging...

First very light snow started 15 minutes ago... calling for a 2pm start for the big stuff...

Hope everyone fares well...

Roger that. Just above freezing now and expected to drop into the low 20s this evening at the Houston outpost. Properly hunkered down and psyched for some football.

Fun town, Houston... saw Journey at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavillion more than a few years ago... good times

Hate winter. I’ll get a day off tomorrow, but I’d rather get 10C…

Road game for me today. Hunkered down in Albany instead of trying to drive back to Virginia, into the teeth of the storm last night after spending the day securing my plane ahead of the incoming weather. It was brutal, 10 degrees in 12 mph (est). winds. Just started snowing here, at 9am ET. There’s a sports bar across the street on one corner, an Irish pub on the other, and a big flat screen in the warm cozy hotel. Decisions, decisions…. Hmm, hotel bar is closed, so no beer here, narrows the field… Whatever…

GO PATS!

Damn! You said 24"! Wow.

Its barely snowed in denver this winter. Drove 3 hours west into the mountains last weekend and there was minimal snow there as well. We're missing all of this weather besides the cold.

Today should be a great day here for football though

After working outside for 43 years I learned to really hate the winter.

How ironic then that when I went to get supplies here it was all the way up to 6 degrees.

Anybody got snow pics.
Germany cool (35F), but all green.

It really is too bad the Bills suck ass and aren't coming here for a snow bowl with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line

9 degrees, 4 inches so far in the Hudson Valley, NY. You guys will get it soon.

The light flurries just started here in RI. This is one of those weekends where I seriously question why I still live here. The snow is pretty, but the cold is disgusting.

Stay safe, everyone!
NE is a beautiful place to live.

Got it all - ocean, mountains, cities, Pro sports fever, but the winter is a drag.

Getting apocalyptic here. Full on ice storm after the snow fell. Lots of power outages and trees falling on powerlines. I can hear trees snapping out back, sounds like thunder. Still have power for now, needs to stay on for the game!

I find that the problem with everywhere else I try to live is it’s not here.

I’m hunkered down cooking a nice stew, watching the snow fall and counting down to the Pats game. No complaints!

Started coming down about 45 minutes ago here in the shadow of Schaeffer Stadium

Can you get access to a generator?

Powerboost F150 trucks are perfect for these weather events.

That’s a nice way of putting it. I’ve lived in DC and Asia for 5 years each and I’ve been to 45 states and 47 countries, and while I find some places are “better” than here, none are as good for me. Gravity keeps pulling me back to this stupid place.

Enjoy your hunkering while my pets and I do the same!

Now that is scary. My time in the mid-Atlantic gave me a healthy fear of ice. Keep everything warm and charging at all times!
