It's easy, and only takes a few moments.Bob's been doing a good job lately of bypassing the antiquated and obviously horribly flawed election process by rightfully just inducting people. Can we please put Adam in the Patriots Hall of Fame, paving his way to Canton?
Not sure what stuff like this does for players since most of them were children or not even born when he kicked those FGs in 2001 and 2003.
Ahhhh, not that there's anything wrong with that (don't shut down the possible arket-may).It's not about the players, it's about referencing/marketing...
...back when the Pats were the plucky underdogs. As a good capitalist, I appreciate the mutual use marketing angle that's lost on your commie ass
Speaking for myself here but I’d be a very hard no on Fairbanks. He was out looking for another job with his team on their way to the playoffs and along the way had his minions throwing plenty of shade on our community. As much as Sullivan was a crap owner I didn’t blame him for his reaction to what ol’ Chuck pulled there. I wasn’t thrilled to see Parcells get in either and certainly not before Julius Adam’s or Tatupu.Bob's been doing a good job lately of bypassing the antiquated and obviously horribly flawed election process by rightfully just inducting people.
Adam should be belatedly joined by Russ Francis, Julius Adams, Mosi Tatupu, Ernie Adams,Chuck Fairbanksand Bucko Kilroy.
Chuck's effort, success and brilliance dwarf anything Parcells ever did here. His effect on the Patriots is still implemented to this day. So precedent has been set, and it did take me years to come around on Parcells.Speaking for myself here but I’d be a very hard no on Fairbanks. That’s OK I remember it just fine. Not a fan of Sullivan at all but Fairbanks was in the wrong on that one from my perspective and for me it was egregious enough to negate him as a Pats HOFer. I feel the same about Parcells, I don’t like that he was installed after what he pulled but The Scatback has his own agenda.Chuck's effort, success and brilliance dwarf anything Parcells ever did here. I think a deeper dive into exactly how Fairbanks was undermined repeatedly by ownership would help you come around. The Sullivans treatment of the Stingley tragedy when it happened was the last straw.
Back in '01, the Jets and Dolphins were very competitive, and we had to really fight to split with them and win the division, very tough wins in NY and here vs. Miami. The early days were something else. This season feels a lot like 2001. The AFC teams that were supposed to be contenders during that time were Baltimore, Tennessee, Jacksonville, Indy and Oakland. Baltimore fresh off their Super Bowl win and thought the addition of Elvis Grbac was going to be the reason they repeat. Ravens put up a good fight, but were overmatched by Pittsburgh in the divisional round who emerged out of nowhere. Jacksonville, Tennessee and Indy imploded while Oakland choked away the #2 seed.
Fast forward to now, the Chiefs, Ravens and Bills were the top contenders. Broncos and Chargers were other teams floating around. Chiefs and Ravens imploded and the Bills were eliminated by Denver. Pats took out LAC. They are on the road against a tough defense who are similar to Pittsburgh in 2001.
Pats want Adam there to kick start the new dynasty.
Like Fisk being a White Sox foreverI love me some Vinateri, but he was a Colt longer than he was a Patriot…..
