You LITERALLY wrote “But the league did see more value in Rowe than in Butler in subsequent years”

What’s your measure of someone in a business (and the NFL is a business) seeing more value???? Most people above the age of 11 would say the MONEY offered for that person’s services. The league saw far more value in Butler than Rowe subsequent to that mental breakdown by Belichick in throwing SB 52. Ask someone to help you with the arithmetic on the subsequent years’ comparative contracts offfered for the services of Malcolm’s Butler vs Eric Rowe.

But, hey, you be you. It’s entertaining to watch someone try to defend Belichick’s actions the night of SB 52.
It's crazy to me that you think that's how players are valued. I would say a guy playing regularly or even making starts has value.

A guy sitting on his couch in Alabama who no one wants has no value.

No apologies required.

Just stating facts. Have you had your prune juice?
i had coffee, thanks though... you seemed very triggered this morning over my comments.

Just wanted you to know that your feelings matter, and this should be a safe space for you... you should feel entitled to never have to read an opinion that you disagree with

Reality is that you're butthurt only because I don't buy into the narrative that BB is done.

I created that post yesterday, but didn't send it until today. If words that you don't like on a scoreboard upset you that much there is nothing that I can do for you.

learn to deal with differing opinions. It part of growing up.

Based on the amount of interest he's drawn in this hiring cycle -10 openings - with nearly 1/3 of the league positions opening up, I don't think I am too far off the mark.

I would love to see BB break Shulas record. But, lets be honest here slappy - That door is closed.

Now, please believe me when i say you are not "winning" this exchange, so its up to you - you wanna keep going? Want to keep escalating this? I don't wanna keep ***** slapping you, but sometimes life lessons need to be reinforced...

Where to you think Sean McDermott ends up??

It is funny but the talk all year was how the Bills had no talent beyond Allen and Cook and that would likely be the reason they don't get to the Super Bowl. So what happens? The Bills lose in the division round and they fire McDermott and promote the guy who has only drafted two Pro Bowlers in 56 draft picks selected.

I think most Bills fans think they fired the wrong guy. Most of them do not like former GM now President Brandon Beane.

I have no idea.

Really, he's a tough sell unless you want a coach who specializes in maximizing an outdated defense.

In that case? I'd say a place like Las Vegas would be most appreciative of that kind of ability.

Brady and Davis know that a defensive genius (which McDermott is) can make a franchise stable, BUT only if they can grab someone who can nurture their rookie QB. Daboll would be perfect for McDermott, but they don't get along. McDermott and Daboll clashed a lot.

The Pats are on the precipice of winning the AFC Championship.

Many thanks to 74 year old BB who drafted Marcus Jones, Gonzo, Boutte, Barmore, Pop, Baringer, Mapu, Rahm, Jennings, Owenu. Without Gonzo this Pats D isn't possible. Marcus Jones either. Boutte and Rahm are just solid players that keep coming up with huge plays. Vrabel has molded this Pats team in BBs image. Ravenous D, opportunistic Special Teams, Solid O. Do your job. Vrabel has his own Ernie Adams watching his back.

You can preach that BB is too old all you want, but he will be back in the NFL. There is no way that he walks without attempting to break Schulas record.
Will you give it up? Bill is done in the NFL. All these openings and his name isn't even mentioned.

I'm not so sure about this. There have been loud voices in favor of firing McDermott before he was fired. I might agree with you that there is a silent majority that believes only the GM should be fired. I'm guessing this from talking regularly to Bills fans. In person, you'd hear some grousing about McDermott. Prior to the firing, there were a lot of voices on social media and the radio about firing him. But now that it happened, my facebook pages are loaded with the previously silent people who are saying firing McD is a mistake, should've fired Beane.

They obviously should've fired Beane because he's been a personnel nightmare for them.

By the way, the ESPN people are pushing Joe Brady on the Bills.

Let me tell you--- if they hire Brady -- who Bills fans hate -- there will be an uproar.

The Bills fans hate what Brady does with the offense. They hate what Beane does with personnel.

The only good thing happening for the Bills is what McDermott was doing with the defense.

This will be a severe weakening of the Bills if they go with Brady.

There only chance is to clean house and hit upon a coach, somehow.

If I'm McDermott I take a year off like Vrabel and others have done and be a consultant for a team. Get some new perspective and refresh your model of how you view running a team. None of these jobs are that enticing and there will always be new vacancies next year.

fwiw the one Bill's fan I know personally was happy they fired McDermott and thinks they should have fired Beane as well.

He also said that "Josh Allen is an average QB... He is a great football player, but just an average QB."

Qbs really need good systems to shine.

But it's tough to judge Allen as a QB when he has no weapons, a mediocre offensive line, and his offensive system doesn't match his abilities.

He looked like a great QB under Daboll... and that coincided with the time that they had Diggs.

A guy I work with is a Bills season ticket holder and that was what he said. He isn't a huge McDermott guy but thought Beane should go before McDermott and see what they can do with a GM who actually acquires talent.

Timing is everything: you remember the last time we had the Best HC and organization in the Division?? Happy days are here again.

These guys who rush to be the HC of the next team often make things so much worse for themselves.
