Yup. The refs also missed a holding call against the Bills in OT that would’ve resulted in a safety and ended the game. The “let the players play” crowd have no leg to stand on.

Looks like you photoshopped the play from the Pats-Giants Super Bowl with the Denver player starring in the Richard Seymour role.

Cooks has a knack for finding himself in the post-season spotlight, not for positive reasons: J McCourty pass break up in Super Bowl LIII, getting knocked out in LII, and now this.
You beat me to it lol.

He is the anti clutch guy. Bad things happen when he is on your team.

if its 50-50, doesnt the ball goes to the receiver?
Sure, and if they had ruled that, I’d be fine with that. But they didn’t. And I’m fine with that.

I'm a Chiefs fan. But that is similar to the hold on Bosa when 3rd and 15 happened in SB 54. That was a clear penalty they got away with.

Cooks has bounced around because he is really fast and can run routes, but he body catches and commonly drops the ball in acrobatic fashion. Teams get tired of the drops and release or trade him.

So, because I'm a huge nerd I looked at Josh Allen's ball security over the course of his career and compared it to two of his most mentioned contemporaries in the AFC, Mahomes and Lamar Jackson.

Here are the numbers. (Including playoffs)

Josh Allen 143 GP, 249 TD, 100 INT, 63 Fumbles Lost
1.74 TD/g
1.13 TOPG (Turnovers Per Game)

Patrick Mahomes 147 GP, 313 TD, 95 INT, 20 Fumbles Lost
2.13 TD/g
0.78 TOPG

Lamar Jackson 133 GP, 197 TD, 63 INT, 50 Fumbles Lost
1.48 TD/g
0.85 TOPG

This has always been my criticism of him. He's too careless with the ball, he's a modern day Brett Favre.

Altitude.

There's a reason the Broncos come back all the time, historically.
Agreed.

That is the most unfair natural advantage in football, bigger than the heat in Miami or cold in the northeast.

He’s a good and maybe even a great QB but enough of the excuses for him already. Buffalo has proven they can’t get it done in the postseason and advance to the Super Bowl.

McDermott is a jackass. He also had an altercation with the Patriots staff before that game because he thought they were spying on them during warmups. Same McDermott who tried to motivate his team by using the 9/11 hijackers as an example of teamwork.
On the Bills message board a poster said he hated Vrabel more than any of the Pats players.

The BIlls would LOVE Vrabel as their HC.

Just more Bills’ sour grapes.

This is where I’m at for Super Bowl scenarios in the AFC:

Patriots win: we have a chance against anybody. Favored against the Bears, toss up/ slight underdogs with the Rams. Underdogs to Seattle, but can win.

Texans: I think they’d be a toss up against Chicago. Underdogs to the Rams, but have a chance. I have a hard time seeing them beat Seattle, but maybe a very slim chance. Seattle just feels like an enhanced version of them.

Broncos: I think they’d be underdogs to everyone in the Super Bowl. But can beat Chicago. Very slim chance they beat the Rams. They’re absolutely not beating Seattle.

I agree with everything you've said except I haven't seen video evidence of him losing control.
I think I remember seeing the ball bobble around in his hands just as he starts going to the ground. But either way, it doesn't matter because he has to survive the ground if he hasn't already made a football move. It does, I admit, look weird and in real time it does look like it should be a catch and down by contact but it is definitely by the letter of the rule the right call

Cooks has had a strange career.

Drafted by the Saints in the 1st round, traded him to the Pats one year later.

Pats kept him for one season and also traded him.

Cooks wasn’t a bust, so why did no one want to keep him?

I can't believe Nix is done for the season.

McDermott made a massive mistake taking White out, only for Nix to go "Jump Ball Joe" mode and ask for a flag. That was garbage by the way.

Brandin Cooks once again is allergic to contact. He has always been soft and now we see him allowing the DB to wrestle the ball away from him.

I'm surprised Josh Allen was even able to score 30 points.

Bills defense did what they were expected to do and got scored on. Brandon Beane talking all that **** that the supporting cast is fine and that they "addressed the defense". Time to go back to the drawing board.

If the Bills scored 30 on these Broncos then the Pats should be able to score 30, assuming they win today. I don’t think Stidham will pop 30+ points with just Sutton, Mims and Humphrey at WR and Harvey at RB. Gonzo would lock down Sutton and they’d have no answers. Lots of coverage sacks, 1 yard runs and negative WR screens.

They never even reviewed the Cooks Int play. Maybe it was a pick. But why not reviewed it? It's a huge game and it decides the game.
