McDaniels is a better candidate than Daboll kingsbury or spagnoka
Brady is a shot on the dark very likely to fail.
Stefanski is not a better candidate than McD. Both failed as HCs, McD has a better track record with offenses and QBs.
To each his own AJ: like I said I feel sorry for the Team who takes that chance.

Josh is a very good offensive coach. He’s also a terrible team builder, has no clue how to assemble a roster or allocate resources. He would need a great GM, would need to defer to him and hire a great defensive coordinator. He hasn’t done these things twice now… it would be foolish to believe he’ll do it the third time around.

Some guys just make great coordinators, and that’s okay. Them realizing it is the key.

So is there any real smoke here to warrant 100 replies? Or all we all just chatting.

Going from a hungry, savvy, young MVP-quality QB with a very high ceiling, who's very very likely to win a ring or two in his career, to a broken down, wheeling, glitching QB who is contractually obligated to study his playbook at least 4 hours a week?

I’m guessing Josh has learned a bit of team building and making connections with players (the side of HC that he sucked at) from Vrabel but I still don’t think he is going anywhere till the end of 2027…if at all.

Josh has been a part of our Dynasty twice already and failed miserably as a HC. The Third Time is not always a charm.

It’s not enough to be a good coach, team building is an art.

Vrabel sees the big picture, all three phases. Not surprising as he has played all three phases and is a student of the game.

Sorrier than for the and that took chances on those other guys who failed?

The moment we sniff success they immediately try to poach or coaches. Can we win a couple of super bowls before this bs starts??

AJ FTR: record I like Josh and wish him all the best with Drake Maye. That said his resume as a HC is nothing to write home about. Knowing what we know I wouldn't advocate for him in that role even if we were related.

I agree.

The issue is ego. The question is whether Josh i willing to accept that he can't be a good HC.

Then you assume $10m appreciation from investments.
I would advise that you don't make financial decisions and that you hire a professional to make those decisions for you.

Why would he accept that? Successful people work hard to taken challenges and improve. They don’t admit they can’t do something because you think it .

You are missing the point. 90% of the candidates you are naming are going to fail. Thats what happens. His first 2 shots don’t put him behind a group of candidates who are equally as likely to fail.

Well that's on the NFL: if Coordinators come from successful systems and can't translate to a decent HC: there's something wrong with the machine. We can say failure is leading actual success when it comes to most Successful Coordinators. Again something is wrong with the NFL and the Coaching waters are getting dry: nostalgia can only goes so far. Grandpa BB could get a HC Job right now in Today's NFL: that's how bad it is. Teams who stand Pat no pun in this Coaching market should be considered wise. Ps it wouldn't shock me if Old Pete Carroll gets' an interview.

I would bet fingers and toes given the more than sample size we have on HC Josh.

Plot twist - I couldn't find an AI tool for Dikembe's voice so I imitated it myself - seriously! I was just waiting for the reaction before the Big Reveal! Didn't want to out myself as making trash!

When it comes to humor, I have a low batting average, but going by a lifetime of feedback the hits are always home runs.

As one who used to be a professional in that field I agree, thats always good advice, especially for high net worth / high income individuals.

It’s obviously a very simplistic analysis. Doesn’t consider agent fees, if he uses one (as he should), tax professionals and their work, etc. Given his income, professional situation, what we know of his personal situation, etc. his net worth should easily be an eight digit value. Whether it’s $20,000,000 or $50,000,000 doesn’t really matter. He already has enough that he can live on the income and still have enough left over to grow the portfolio.

Especially with the Raiders money still coming in for the next couple of years he doesn’t need to make employment decisions based on salary. That’s the bottom line here.
