Try some objective reasoning. The circumstances would need to be ideal for McDaniels to even consider a head coaching gig. McDaniels is happy as a pig in mud here and his family is thrilled to be back in New England. He said earlier this season "It would be surprising if I moved my kids out of Westwood." There's no QB in Arizona and some of the weakest ownership in the league. Mike Bidwill is a cheap prick that was charging his players for food as recently as last year, McDaniels isn't leaving where he and his family are happy to become part of a 3rd world organization in the desert.

With their QB's in place and ownership that isn't known for meddling if the Ravens or Giants came calling he'd be a fool not to at least listen but Stefanski (Baltimore) and Harbaugh (NY) would probably be the first choices for each of those organizations and Josh sitting on two strikes may not draw their interest. Outside of those two jobs the rest are either bad (TN, AZ, Cleveland), impatient (Atlanta) or in full transition (Vegas) organizations

The Raiders are still paying Josh through the 2027 season I think. He isn’t going to take a head coaching job at least until then unless the perfect situation comes up with a real QB already in place. That ain’t Arizona.

Now if the Ravens came calling, he might listen. But I don’t think the Ravens will be calling.

I'd imagine they'll be calling Stefanski, if they haven't already. Steve Bisciotti is one of the better owners in the league and Haslam is... not (let's leave it at that). Stefanski would feel like he went from the outhouse to the penthouse

Leave a team that has a franchise QB in place for the next 15 years and go to one of the worst organizations in professional sports? Bad idea. I also can't imagine Vrabel would have hired him without being sure McDaniels would be in NE for the long-term.

I don't believe he will get another HC opportunity from anyone. He was a disaster in Denver & Vegas.
